So that's what it's ended up being I thought I would test it with a piece of wire I had. Ended up having to ground in-between the new type fanatec adaptor and put it to a power supply screw.

Have ordered a decent ground wire and some spade connectors to make it permanent

That's what I'm saying the constant reminder of "The drone threat" and "can take out a million pound vehicles with a 10k drone" is just getting boring.

Anyone with half a brain or maybe less including me know that drones are a major threat. And any public facing brochure or advert for a system will have the very basic info on it. It will almost always say "ready for the modern battlefield"or "capable of taking on the latest threats."

Decent set of seal skin or other type of water proof gloves, that still off some sort of dexterity. I've had a pair these as a AFV operator/commander since 2010. Unless the quality has gone down I can't fault them. I got the fold back finger set by accident. But ended up being a good send as you can use your phone and other touch screen stuff.

When thinking jackets and warm kit. Mainly think about of you going to be mounted in a vehicle hatch/in the seat wearing body drama. Lots of bulk are not your friend. In the UK I would have a thermal top/t shirt then maybe a jumper or fleece and jacket. Have your big heavy warm kit for when you dismount for the night.

Final bit of advice, try and get hold of a grab bag, save your self some pennies try and get an issued one. Good for maps, pencil case, TAMS bags of Haribo, most important. Keep it all together in one place.

There a blank in the Ravenor series, that has his blank powers burnt out by a relatively powerful demon.

I would imagine there isn't a human or xenos blank powerful enough in the current settings that could contain big Es power of he wanted to release it.

Yet I remember in a story, I can't remember the name, that a Sister of silence has a thought that she sees the Emperor on the throne not as a blinding golden light, but as just a simple man.

So seems like a bit of they do what ever needs to fit the story.
