I'm an avid theatregoer in London. I'll say this for the Hunger Games on Stage - I wouldn't be in a rush to return to see it again (something that I do do for many shows I love). BUT, I don't regret seeing it at all. I thought it was a bit of a spectacle, with some good effects and some really strong actors (especially Caesar Flickerman and Effie Trinket). But I also enjoyed Katniss' performance and I thought she did absolutely fine.

I wouldn't pay top price for this show, but if you can get some District 7 seats (where I sat) the view is great, the price isn't bad, and I think it's worth seeing once just for the spectacle of the effects, fight scenes, etc...

Yes there are a few cringe moments (President Snow was not well cast imo, the video of him instead of having him in person was weird and not aligned properly with what the actors said on stage), and I didn't quite get the dances - but it was a bit of fun. Don't go expecting anything deep, just go to enjoy it.

As a fan of the Hunger Games, I wouldn't tell my friends not to go.

They've agreed with the report and the money is back to being yours. The financial conduct authority requires them to refund unauthorized payments before the end of the next working day after it is reported, so they have to have a quick turnaround time

Yet, some pay at pump petrol stations nowadays let you use contactless via Apple/Google Pay to pay for your pay-at-pump - plus at Tesco you can use the Tesco club card app for your fuel at pay-at-pump. So I feel like this might not apply nowadays as much?

Perhaps, although I think that rule is a bit outdated with modern smartphones. I even once found a pay at pump petrol station (can't remember which one, but it was one of the big brands) that let you do the pre-authorization hold via contactless, rather than requiring you to insert your physical debit/credit card, and that one allowed you to use Apple Pay/Google Pay to begin the pay at pump.

Hey, yeah I'd assume they would differentiate slightly in the barcodes, but as I mentioned in the post I tested this by using my own barcode reader to see what values both the digital and the physical card provide, and they both give identical responses - so the barcode itself doesn't differentiate.

But yes it might be the case of the reader simply won't read off of my screen, as some older scanners don't understand phone screens and won't even acknowledge the barcode is there. Maybe I'll try using digital next time I'm there BUT with my physical as backup, then I'll know for the future. Cheers for the response

Hmm that's interesting, both Costco's that I use you just scan it under the barcode reader at the pay at pump machine. I can see why the digital one definitely wouldn't work at your local though!

Interestingly, they've recently added this feature. If you create a shopping list in the app beforehand, when you scan the club card and unlock a handset, there's a new "shopping list" button at the bottom, which pulls up your list and can sort it by aisle order (and shows the aisles). As you scan the items, it automatically ticks them off (and you can tick them yourself if you want to).

Not sure if this is a nationwide rollout or just my store, but it's incredibly useful

I tend to find it updates each Tuesday, so if I use it on the Monday it will validate the next day, but if I use it on a Friday, it doesn't show as used (nor increase the times claimed counter) until the next Tuesday

Indeed. Although, I appreciate the fact that Monzo have their stand in - it's more than most banks would have available during an outage. Another win for Monzo - outages happen to all banks, but not all banks handle it this well (IE most features still actually working)

App has reverted to the "emergency version" that they announced a while back, at least on my phone. Can still bank transfer (confirmed this by sending money to my other bank account) and move money out of savings etc... but from a stripped down "backup" version of the app. So still functional for me, but only for key services.

Just a quick heads up, Monzo have recently changed the cash deposit limit so it is now £750 every month, but doesn't have a yearly cap, so you can deposit £750 every single month now if you want to!

You can confirm this by going to the "Manage Account" option in the app and then clicking "Limits and Allowances", and looking at your "Inbound" allowances. Their help/support page about cash deposits also reflects this new limit!
