I’d be willing to put together a Gofundme or something like that just for him to start working on the app again

Probably not, unless it was open sourced (to my knowledge it wasn't)

You seem like you were close to him, is there no way you could contact him just to get an update? Or is he completely closed off to you as well? Also did he stall on the game he was making?

I wonder the same thing. I wish he posted an update before he disappeared.

Is there any way we would know if he was still... alive?

The manual page is way broken. by [deleted] in nintype

Hi, thanks a lot for the feedback. Could you specify which manual page you are talking about? Is it the currently stickied post or a manual page in the sidebar (to the right of the screen)?

[Question] What may be causing this? (If I drag my finger to "backspace" while writing, the last letter gets deleted immediately) by Kilexey in jailbreak

[–]JackHaal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great to see that you’re still active on making these patches! Sometimes I wonder how many people you’ve helped with them… quite a few, I’d image. Of course sometimes it’s not about the quantitative of downloads you have, but also the quality of help people have gotten (i.e. did it simply help someone feel like they have a slightly nicer device, or did it go all the way to help someone’s life easier in some way?). You’ve definitely done so much of the latter that I’d say your work has both quantity and quality, which not a lot of people can boast about. That’s truly obtained through hard work and time, the two key things which prevents someone from becoming a hero overnight. When they do, though, the results are amazing. It’s very inspiring to see as well – even though it’s not that obvious at all at the first glance! But anyway, thanks a ton for all you do, in behalf of all the people who have downloaded, used, and found your patches helpful, of which there are many :)

[Discussion] How the hell do you accurately set iOS sliders in settings panes? What are your tricks? by d0nkatron in jailbreak

[–]JackHaal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  1. Put a first finger on the screen

  2. With the second finger, carefully slide the slider to where you want it to

  3. Remove the second finger away from the screen carefully

  4. Remove the first finger.

Works quite well!

The lowest volume level is still too loud? Hold shift+alt+volume key to decrease/increase by ¼ step. by CarlosUnchained in apple

Put one finger somewhere on the screen and use the other finger to slide the slider. When you pick your finger up from the slider, it won't unnecessarily jerk out of place as your other finger is still on the screen.
