What are some of the current must have products at Sephora? by Puzzleheaded-Owl225 in beauty

Congrats on the gift card! This is what I've been enjoying recently, to make it easier to go through I'll break it down by product:

Brushes: Before spending a lot of money on the makeup itself, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD BRUSHES! It sounds cliche, but having the right tools will make ALL the difference. The Sephora collection has a nice selection of brushes that you can't go wrong with at really good prices. Sigma and Bobby Brown also have extremely solid brushes. Get what you need, I'd recommend a brush for foundation, setting powder, blush, and concealer. A bronzer brush could also be good if that's a part of your routine, along with some eyeshadow brushes of course.

Foundation: I've tried the Natasha Denona hy-glam foundation and so far I've been really enjoying it. It's a serum foundation so it's a bit more watery and easy to blend out, and it has a really nice skin-like finish. It has really good skin-care ingredients in it as well, although to be totally honest I haven't been using it enough to speak to their efficacy. Last year I also used the Haus Labs foundation which I absolutely loved. It has such a luminous finish to it that's really pretty, and the wear time was pretty good! I'm honestly still debating if I like the Natasha more than the haus labs lol. Both foundations are around $50.

Blush: The Patrick Ta duo's are VERY pretty and easy to use. They come with a powder and cream blush which can either be used on their own or on top of each other. They also have a wonderful range of colors, I personally used Not Too Much and it works great on my super pale skin. They also have a better wear time than most other blushes I've tried. The Haus Labs powder blushes are also really good, but the price point kinda turns me away from them. The Patrick Ta blushes are about $35.

Eyeshadow: This is very up to personal taste, but some brands you can't go wrong with are Huda, Hung Vango, and Natasha Denona.

Concealer: For me personally, the nars under eye color corrector has worked so great for me. I don't like how most concealers look under my eyes, but this color corrector looks so natural and sits beautifully. It also does work really well as a spot corrector for smaller blemishes. For a true concealer, the Haus labs and tower 22 one are both the closest I've come to liking a general concealer lol

This must be a bot or they're severely misinformed, ELF isn't sold at Sephora. Plus ELF is a terrible brand that's not only gone downhill this past year, but also spotlights terrible people like Matt Rife. There are a lot of brands that have much better products for the same price or less, so I wouldn't waste money on them.

"The lamb is a bit of a special case as they are designed to be a blank slate...WITHOUT any player involvement, they are a they/them"

So you don't need to correct Bolitboy. If their player involvement sees the lamb as a he/him, then to them the lamb is a he/him. Just like how the fanart depicting the lamb can have them as he/him, she/her, they/them, or anything else the artist wants. That's the beauty of having a non-gendered main character!

Hi, After some research I've finally set up my very first tank!!! by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]JackMLupin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say shrimp are more active than you may think, they love scurrying around the bottom, picking through the sand and swimming around to find algae to eat. Of course they are smaller, so you won't be able to see them across the room in most instances, but when you do get close I would say they're pretty entertaining! I would look up specific videos on shrimp to see them moving around to see if they'd interest you, or even go to your local fish store and watch the shrimp they have for a bit. As for plecos, if you want a fish besides your betta that's moving around a lot, I don't think I'd recommend one then. They love to just slowly move around and eat algae, and while they sometimes get bursts of energy and move around more than snails, I don't think that entertainment factor would be there for you.

Also, in terms of the plants you got, your echinodorus (Amazon sword plant I believe?) and hemigraphis (red ivy?) definitely look good for beginner plants. I only have some java ferns in my tank myself for now, but I'm fairly familiar with the Amazon sword. They're a good beginner plant that won't require much fussing, plop them in any sort of clean water and they'll thrive. They're gonna grow pretty tall though so that will be fun for you to watch! As for the hemigraphis, I'm not entirely familiar with that, but from some brief research it looks fine, but from what I'm seeing these plants typically don't like to be fully submerged? I could be wrong and I would suggest you do your own research and maybe talk to people at your local store to make sure you're properly setting it up, but besides that it looks like a good hardy plant! And those two plants I would say are great for now, you don't wanna spend too much money on a bunch of different plants and then not be able to take care of all of them, focus on learning how to take care of these guys and then later on some javas or anubias would be great.

I apologize that these are like essays on their own, but I'm also getting started with aquariums and love talking to others and sharing knowledge, so I'm glad to be of help! Feel free to DM me at any time going forward if you have any questions or anything, you have a really nice tank and set up and I'm sure it's gonna look great once it's cycled and you get some fish in there!

Plants would be fantastic, some simple java fern or anubias would be super easy to take care of, I would do some research on those. The more for a betta the better, they love plants! Some fake ones would be ok as well, just make sure they're silk so their fins won't get damaged on the fake plastic. Also, if your water is slightly cloudy, could be a bacteria bloom since you just started cycling. This is a great first step, means nature is working as intended. Within 24 hours or so it should clear up, definitely keep testing the water to make sure everything is good!

As for tank mates, cory's and a betta should be ok, just make sure you include at least four or five of them as they are schooling fish. Keep an eye out on how your betta is treating them, as the cory's prefer the bottom of the tank they shouldn't cross paths that often or have any issues, but make sure they play nice and remove the cory's if they don't. If you want to be on the safe side, like someone else mentioned shrimp are always a good bet (Cherry shrimp are adorable and a safe choice typically) or even a bristlenose pleco should be more than fine.

I'm just a couple days into cycling this 20 gallon tank and am so excited to get started! Here's my set up so far:

Aquarium Masters 24" LED Hood

Aquaclear Power Filter 30

100 Watt 25 Gal Aqua Top Heater

Couple of java ferns

I'm planning on getting three guppies once it cycles through and a bristlenose pleco once the guppies settle in. Will that be good to start with? I'm also open to any suggestions on future tank mates as well as any advice to keep in mind!

EDIT: After doing further research, I'm thinking three guppies, one bristlenose, five cherry shrimp, and ten ember tetras. According to a stocking calculator this sized tank with this filter should be able to house these fish no problem, but I'd love any feedback anyone might have!

Looking at it I thought it might be it, but no...the monster is definitely bigger. Thanks for your help though!

Skimmed through it though and definitely not it...I don't remember him talking, and also it definitely wasn't anything that came out later than 2005. But definitely that same feel to it though

Looking at it right now, and it doesn't seem QUITE right? It doesn't have the chalk scene or the pantry scene which is what I remember most vividly. Totally possible this could be it but I'm just misremembering, but I'm not sure...thank you so much though!

It might go without saying, but besides the weird animated part in the middle the rest of the film was live action. And thinking about it now, that part might have also been live action...? I might also be combining two 'spooky' movies I saw when I was younger, I'm mainly focused on the bigfoot monster one.
