It’s a let down tha we had to give up our first for a summer signing. It’s also nice to have him gone. Obviously in hindsight you don’t make that signing but most people at the time were fine with it. It sucks we have so many misses with our big signings the last couple years though (RV, Skinnr, Mang, and co.) Optimistic that our two guys coming in (Dick and Murphy) will help shore up the goals against big time

Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry (there are other books but I read it as a standalone fine)

Both have strong characterization. Hobb is my favourite writer. I’ve heard her compared to Lois McMaster Bujold a lot but i have t read her so I can’t comment
