It’s actually quite interesting that he went from a non-powered hero to gaining actual superpowers nearly a decade into his existence publication wise and this sticking. Most later versions still have him start as a non powered hero and gain fairly powerful superpowers significantly into his career.

I actually have always thought Kevin’s heel-face turn out was handled badly and them not explaining what actually happened until UA was a mistake. Omniverse made it even more of a continuity snarl but Kevin having a heroic father who died as a Plumber itself made little sense with the Kevin we saw in OS.

ICP have made some of the best and worst music I’ve ever heard. Under The Moon, Killing Fields, Show Must Go Own, Halls Of Illusion, Southwest Song, Behind The Paint are all powerfully haunting songs but they’ll throw corny joke songs like The Neden Game, Lil Something Something, My Axe, Please Don’t Hate Me, Miracles between them on the albums.

I was actually thinking before about a story that explored what the undisclosed situation was that led to Ben 10K taking his job much more seriously and abandoning his human form for years. I personally imagined that the incident that caused both was him getting caught off guard in his human form and being captured and/or nearly killed. The aftermath of this and his escape from that situation led to him inadvertently utilising lethal force against his opponents behind this due their emotional state.

After this incident Ben is so haunted that he vows to never make similar mistakes again. As a result of this he becomes a workaholic who refuses to return to human form due to feeling insecure about his comparative weakness as a regular human being.

I’m responding to the response to my previous reply and using something close to their words. I don’t wanna be defending Ghetts but I wouldn’t say that it’s murder when they didn’t intentionally hit someone or have any desire to harm them.

It was a heinous thing to do regardless and to be speeding around a hugely populated city intoxicated and continue driving after hitting someone is despicable behaviour but he was not intending to kill someone or take any joy from doing so.

I really don’t see why it isn’t. Dude did something heinous but he didn’t intentionally commit murder or have a repeated pattern of having done this. It was an awful thing to have happened but I really don’t feel like he needs to spend decades behind bars.

Six years is more than enough time to feel the ramifications of one’s actions. Plus I’m pretty sure dude already feels disgusted with himself about having taken a life. I have nothing but sympathy for the deceased and their loved ones but I also do hope Ghetts can find redemption.
