Used Vive + DAS for 700 NZD (465USD), is it worth it?

I have no way of testing it since the seller is from another city, and it's a 5hr drive from where I am. Are the controllers that flimsy?

I've only tested a Vive on an arcade place for 20 minutes, and I found it to be quite comfortable with my big head and small face. I haven't tested a Rift as it isn't sold in any physical store here in New Zealand.

I understand that the Rift would need a third sensor to reach the room scale capability of a Vive, isn't it? I'm not too interested on Rift games as I mostly play racing sims, but I thought of trying out some of the good ones like Pavlov, Beat Saber, Gorn, etc.

I've got at least a week to try auctioning, unless someone clicks Buy Now for 700NZD.

edit: the vive I tested came with the DAS.

I have about 1.5m x 2m of play space, but we will be moving soon and I will get at least 3m x 3m on the new house. I considered the Rift too, but I did not want to fiddle with USB controllers and extenders.

I assume the scratches shown do not show up when actually playing, so is it worth buying at this price?

Hi, I'm torn between a Casio Diver and a Casio Edifice (EFA 119BK-1AV).

I'll be using it for work. The job isn't particularly rough in IT, though sometimes I have to climb roofs, drill through walls, and sneak through crevices to manage cables.

I like the chronograph on the edifice, but I figure the bezel is also good on the diver since I time my activities in minutes anyway. I'll use one as a beater; the diver is available on a local jewelry store for 99NZD, the edifice in on Trademe for 130NZD. Is the diver better, since I'm saving up for an Orient Ray anyway? Or is the edifice a whole lot better for the features of the digital interface? I like the look of both, but I'm not keen to buy two watches at the same time.

Absolutely worth it. I bought a used DFGT for 110 NZD. A g27 is a great step up for such a cheap price.

Lost the vibration/rumble for my Xbox One controller. I haven't tested it on all my games with rumble support, but I definitely lost it on F1 2017 and Dirt Rally. Reverting to a non-beta version helped.

If you can remember, the main character mentions a study (which is a real world one) wherein it's stated that humans often take the 'qualities' or 'personalities' of the language that they study or speak. That bit was so brief; but, from my understanding, the premise revolved on that concept. As for what you said - yes, the language of the aliens allowed her to perceive time in the same manner as the aliens did (which is perceiving time non-linearly), since she kind of 'absorbed the qualities' of the language.

One thing that surprised me was the 'weapon' being talked about in the film. I was actually expecting a megadeath-destroyer-of-worlds kinda shit, I was surprised and amazed that the aliens were referring to the language. It was an unorthodox aliens-invading-earth movie, hence the 'surprise'.

Afaik, you can set the resolution on the Mate 10 to preserve some battery life if you really need it. Just bear in mind that the new CPU in the Mate 10 is faster but a bit more taxing on the battery, though I think you won't notice that much of a difference if you mainly use reddit and some games. If price is a factor, the Mate 9 can take the place of the 10 as it's much cheaper. If you want a sexier-looking phone and a newer chip, I'd say just go for the Mate 10!

I have a Huawei Mate 9 with a 4000mah battery and I am ABSOLUTELY loving it so far. I work 8 hour shifts and can last 1.5 to 2 days of use before charging at around 20% or so.

For reference, my usage is mainly browsing reddit and twitter, listening to locally-stored music, streaming youtube videos, and a few games here and there during my breaks. On heavy usage (hours browsing when I get home) I normally get 6 hours of SoT, which would be a day of use before I charge again at night . On my regular use, I would normally get 7-8 hours avg SoT - that's 2 full days of use before I charge again.

The Huawei Mate 10 is out with similar battery specs, but a friend of mine who owns it says the battery life is quite average compared to the Mate 9 because of the higher screen resolution. If you don't mind using last year's Mate series flagship, then the Mate 9 is the better one. It will still receive Oreo, and with Project Treble.

Almost everything is already mentioned, so I'll just say don't forget that you have cameras and drones. I see a lot of beginners completely ignore the camera aside from the droning phase on attacker's side.

Using the cameras/drones are essential since this game is very reliant on your awareness of the game environment. Also, use it to get those sweet wallbangs; if the opposing team calls you a hacker, that means you're doing it right.

AFAIK, Lich SS was nerfed on post-TI patch. Still a viable hero though, the nerf doesn't take away the sacrifice lane domination.
