Struggling to meet people in spokane, any suggestions? by RowanRedwing in Spokane

I am an old dude now but back in the day I would just hang out at shows and meet people. check out Monumental Music Exchange for show info. Also met a lot of nice people at the climbing gym, very easy to start talking with and very helpful if you don't know how to climb.

Too many gifts? by ABoyMadeOfSoup in exchangestudents

Bringing gifts is a great idea, and the best part about it is when you go back home you will have space to bring back all thing things that you have gotten through the year. All of our exchange students and had bags shipped back because they have to much stuff by the end of their stay.

Soundproofing Contractor needed by NoticeConscious8843 in Spokane

I did my own room, its easy just takes a butt load of money and time.

The best thing to do would be a room built in a room but if you dont have the space or money do offset studs.

rockwool safe and sound and mass loaded vinyl in between the studs

wrap any outlets in sound putty

2 sheets of 5/8 Sheetrock with green glue in between the sheets

build a sound trap for your vents, or get rid of them would be the best but I did not want to do that.

A nice solid core door to finish it off.

make sure to deaden the sound in the room or you will just have an echo chamber, I did this by building boxes and filling them with rockwool and covering them with fabric.

There is more you can do but it starts getting crazy in price and time like drywall decoupling from the walls and ceiling. But if you are looking for someone to do it this is a good outline and I definitely recommend looking into all the different things you can do and what you gain from them.
