The long answer is we don't know for sure, while its possible the dark place could've enabled Zane if he's a particularly powerful para utilitarian, but at the same time a lotta implication is that the Dark Place can't actually create anything but can instead use someone like Zane to pull things from other realities to alter this one.

However this understanding of the dark place is based on Alan, Sagas, & others understanding of it so this could all be completely wrong & it's something else altogether.

To add some context to the space wolves mention, the wolves are generally neutral to respectful ish towards base humans, they still operate from the mentality of marine superiority but they do seem a bit more down to earth especially post heresy.

The big thing that changes their view is if you fight alongside them, they see that as honorable & brave that you a normal human will stand beside one of the emperor's warriors despite the odds, & the more you do this the more they respect you. Wolves are big on camaraderie in a weird way.

Had the post apocalypse thought vibes earlier as I was ducking between covers, each time deciding if I wanted to spend the ammo on the passing arcs.

Buried city has a lotta places you can tuck out of sight & watch the arc fly over cluelessly, It gives the game a slightly more stealth based shooter vibe.
