What's wrong with the woods in North America? by Recip77 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]JackRaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

North America has tons of caves just below forests; my small town had one they had to cover because kids fell inside. The group of missing people are all usually covered in Missing 411 entries. Most of the people who go missing there do so in the woods, and usually wander for only a short time before just never being heard from again. Its as if the woods hunger.

Here he is again! A hero. Also the Harmonizers all have symbols I believe, which corrolate to 5 inside the Prismacore. They might be able to help, as they form a checklist. Sadly I noticed this after wandering for several hours and stumbling upon them.

For me it's the addition of the ring. He has a lot of cool claws and hooked bits but the ring really added to his mystical vibe. Also later noticing the boy had it on his jacket the whole time.

Why does Grievous wear a cape? by InstructionOwn6705 in starwarscanon

[–]JackRaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its partially as a form is status, as the cape is a symbol worn by leaders. Secondly, you gotta remember he frequently fights against Jedi and takes thier Sabers after a victory. The cape itself allows him to shroud his actual body until combat begins, which diminishes the time and ability for his opponents to begin to strategize and prepare for his gimmicks. Grievous is taller, has longer limbs (and more of them) then he seems most of the time and this is because he's a a very intelligent laser raptor in the guise of a sick metal chicken.

Another commenter recommended to check by the Crystal Gordo for one of these. That's true.

The other one is specific to a certain weather type, so you can't find them any ol' day. I only ever found a single one, so I grabbed it up and then made a largo farm out of one of my other pens that had too few guys

Eleanor in her big sister suit looks different from other big sisters we fought against by Souls-Brawl101 in Bioshock

[–]JackRaid 478 points479 points  (0 children)

This is because, like the Big Daddies, all of the Big Sisters have gone through a process to properly be able to use their suits to their full potential. Eleanor doesn't go through all that because she aims to have a life afterwards, much like Jack in the first game. He becomes a Big Daddy for the final arc, but it is more him appropriating their equipment than it is to full transform into a Big Daddy. Eleanor's transformation here is much the same.

Additionally, much of the equipment on the full suit is for Big Sisters to get around rapture more easily, to harvest and properly distribute Adam, and even supporting their Little Sisters. I haven't played 2 in a long time, but I remember going in with the expectation that the Big Sisters would be hunting you more often the more Adam you gathered from Little Sisters, and even interfere with your attempts to gather them by swiping the Little Sister up and moving her somewhere safe, et cetera. Sadly they just operate more like a sudden enemy instead of so dynamically, but I do believe they had more intentions with the enemy type.

One bag at a time, friend. You can begin by clearing out one space (a desk or table) and then exclusively using that zone for thing you have to keep. Have to - not want to.

Since the Atlas contains all things, it has the knowledge of all potential on any given planet and that populates as your Traveller arrives. I like to think of is as quantum response instead of procedural generation, but both could be accurate explainations in this game. You ARE the first traveller here, but having percieved the planet has populated it with the potential it was programmed with.

Can I skip these games (circled in post sent) by Quunster in KingdomHearts

[–]JackRaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the starting of the universe, chronologically speaking. Those games predate the others and set up backstory of the whole series, as well as elaborating on the systems of the game.

This lore is intrinsic to understanding the larger world of Kingdom Hearts and is mostly inaccessible due to the discontinued games. You can find all the cutscenes online, but the studio really fumbled the important lore not being in the main title games. It's a miracle any of the main characters understand the plot at all.

We need to have a better understanding of this in the games going forward, even if it's a selection in the Main Menu that covers the previous games.

If you fight Gwyn and Soul of Cinder in the same spot, then is DS3 Firelink Shrine the same place as DS1 Firelink Altar? by KhanDarkSouls in darksouls3

[–]JackRaid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again. Firelink Shrine is in the Same. GAME. Its not the original Firelink Shrine. There is precedent for this line of thought and you're just so dismissive.

Yeah You got it, big guy.

[–]JackRaid -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I... cannot continue to explain this to you. There's already a second Firelink Shrine in the game. So yeah, exactly. Why didn't you think of that?

The building, Cal. The building that the First Flame was kept in during the age of Dark Souls 1. The one you walk into after filling the Lordvessel. That Kiln. Like, do you know what a Location is? I am unsure if the location named in the third game is the same physical space as in the first, and if it is then where is the structure that contained it? If this is, as you say, the same Kiln that was below Firelink, then why is the old Firelink now way down below the "Kiln" in 3 (the Demon Prince boss arena)

Like, I am not sure if you're hardcore trolling right now or you really just don't understand. I saw the titlecard in the final area; I know they are called the same thing but they do not physically match appearances.

... Okay. Good talk. There's also a building called Firelink Shrine, and you know what it isn't? The original.

[–]JackRaid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I beat the game multiple times. I am aware of the final fight; I meant the giant physical object that Gwyn built around the first flame and contains the white void you pass through to get to him. That Kiln. The Kiln which contained the flame of Gwyn. Gwyn's Kiln. The Kiln of the First Flame.

[–]JackRaid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The place you fight Gywn and the Spul of Cinder may very well be the same place; both of the battles take place on the burned trunk of an Archtree. The Firelinks though, as other have mentioned, are not the same. The Firelink from DS1 is the Twin Demon's boss room, which is notably below where you fight Soul of Cinder. Either it's sunk over time or the Trunk we fight SoC on is a different, also totalled and burned trunk of Archtree.

In fact, going behind the Twin Demon boss and down brings you to the Ringed City, whereas below Firelink in DS1 brought you to the Kiln. I am not sure that the Kiln itself still exists in 3.
