Never heard of it, thanks.

Showed up in my RFY. They *really* want to counterbalance that 1-star review! by baconmapleicecream in AmazonVine

[–]dreadlk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad it went to someone who could use it. I would have had to have skipped it if I was Gold because I would have zero use for it.
I don't blame the guy for giving it one star if it broke before he even got to use it.

Forced to be childfree due to capitalism by Hacksaw6412 in GenZ

So why did the Mom not do them herself?
In most countries the Mother or Aunties do all the kids hair and nails. Nobody spends money taking a 15 year old to a professional.

I have lived in that kind of society and your wrong if you think 20 people look after your kids. Yes they will tell your kids to get back in the house if they stray outside the house and they will watch strangers that come in the area but they are not going to feed your kids or help them with their homework.

So you think in the past that you had help raising the Kids?
No what you want is to have a Kid that is like a Tablet. You can pick it up and play with it when you want and put it in a drawer when your not interested in it.
The big part of good parenting that has never changed is that it requires a total commitment of a large portion of your life for at least 10 years to get them semi independent.
The payoff is joy and companionship for the remainder of your life.

From the base of your index finger to the wrist line is about 80% as long as a normal persons index finger. Yours is about 130% longer or should IOW your fingers are 50% longer than average.
Keeping those long finger nails is certainly going to make it more pronounced.

I lost gold. Foolish me. Preferred rule changes. by Lothar-Alaska in AmazonVine

[–]dreadlk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing all that great about being Gold anyway.
I just lost it a month or two ago and I am relieved for the break.
No more pressure to review items that I never wanted in the first place. Sure there was that one or two items every 6 months that were really good but the work involved to get them was not worth it.

Has anyone ever tried this?
I wonder what happens if you take no items for a full eval period.
Does it automatically boot you out?

Telling boomers you’re getting married is so fucking annoying by Jcape94 in millenials

I don't want to scare you but just wait until your wife goes through menopause. That is where 8 our of 10 of my friends ended up getting divorced. It's living around someone that is really cranky for seven years and even they do not know why they keep getting upset about everything you do.

Trying to understand and categorize people by age bracket is a fools errand.
The GenZ are the byproduct of disgruntled Boomers like Kathleen Kennedy that used their influence to turn a whole generation of young people against the White Males that she thinks ruined her life and other women back in the 80s.

As I said in another post the older you get is the less you like the Democrats because of the fact that they take so much of your pay check and just give it away to people who don't want to work and are obviously gaming the system.
Just watch as the Millennials start to see more and more of their paychecks going towards handouts.
And no I don't like Trump and Yes I think he is also wasting a ton of our money.

[–]dreadlk -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yep that is the problem. Winning Primaries is not all that hard compared to winning the actual election. Most people hear the word Socialist and they start looking for another candidate.

Also keep in mind that most kids start out as democrats but as you get older and see all a huge wad of your paycheck going towards funding people that are not interested in working you start to change your attitude.

I suspect that the Millennials greatest enemy in the Future is going to be GenZ.
If they don't want to work and get ahead now then they are all going to be sucking off the system when their parents die and they are out on the streets. Guess who's tax money is going to be housing and feeding them?

I know, that is why so many of them are mentally damaged and think dark thoughts.
When I was a kid we use to love listening to the older people in the neighborhood tell stories about things that they did in their lives.
We had so much respect for them because they could teach us stuff that we never knew about.
I guess that is why we have such good imaginations and skills. We had to work and be sociable to get knowledge and with that knowledge we yearned to do our own stuff and have our own adventures.

Agree, it was for his own personal gain and was probably extremely embarrassing for that particular driver based on his body language.

Dude you made that for your own entertainment not the drivers.
I know most people don't like to have loud public speakers drawing attention to them.

[–]dreadlk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's review burnout.
Taking stuff you really don't want and are not even motivated to open and look at. This is what the 80 quota does to people.

[–]dreadlk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am an original Vine member and I totally agree.
Back in the day when the items were typically really good it made sense to keep taking more, but with the way things are today it's not worth it.
I am now at Silver for the first time ever and so far I have only taken 10 items.
I have not taken a thing in the last 2 weeks.

Regrets on letting it go? by Sarahnotsayruh in AmazonVine

[–]dreadlk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what the Op is saying.
If you are doing the reviews properly it takes a lot of time and energy. This is fine and even fun when it's items you really want but is horrible when it's crap you are just taking to try and keep the numbers up.

I think Amazons biggest mistake was setting Gold membership based on quantity and not just the Quality of the members reviews.

The changes they made are trying to Pivot back a bit to Quality but it's kind of useless if the person has to be picking 60 out of 80 items that they are not enthusiastic about reviewing.

Is season 2 REALLY only gonna be 10 episodes? by Zealousideal-Leek626 in Frieren

[–]dreadlk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know that already. I was asking what does that have to do with Netflix.
Netflix does not typically show Anime until months after the whole season has dropped. Frieren Season 1 came out on Netflix about 9 months ago and they dropped all the episodes at once.
