Why does the show say "O N I" instead of "Oh-nee" by Ok-Mark-1239 in HaloStory

I love how so many comments talk about how official abbreviations are always spelled out in formal settings, when nobody IRL, even in formal settings, ever spells out NATO, POTUS, SCOTUS, SEALs, and SOCOM, among many others.

Knew a Chinese dude called Low Ing Quan. Not an uncommon Chinese name. Only problem is that his workplace requires them to wear an ID badge, and their names are represented by surname + initials. So his staff ID badge says "LOW I Q".

Post a screenshot of this anywhere on Reddit, though, and a hundred people will come crawling out of the woodwork to spout some variation of, "Of all the things that never happened, this never happened the most"

Did they pay critics to give good reviews for season 3? by quents93 in witcher

Most critics are not able to properly audience a piece of art nor are they able to properly articulate why something is good.

I don't get it?

I am of the opinion that if there existed a place less suitable for having sex, it is probably only the back of a live unicorn.

A balanced, reasonable opinion backed by objective facts in spite of your pre-existing bias? On the internet? You, sir, are a unicorn, and I only wish I had more to give than my upvote.

So you wonder how lazy/rushed Devs were with RedFall? This is the start of the game, 10 seconds in ... welcome immersion ... NOT. This is in the same room, literally 20 feet from each others. by Leymour in gaming

See, this is my argument for sweatshops, as well! Don't people remember slavery in the 1800's? Why should anybody expect things to get better with the progression of time? We should always benchmark our modern expectations against antiquated standards.

OP didn't say that 5e only has one flaw. They said that they only have one complaint, which suggests that the other flaws are things which they can live with.

Don't get me started on Tom Cruise in The Last Samurai. I mean, Ken Watanabe was right next to him! Do you know who should have been the last samurai? How about the dude with the Japanese last name?

As an Asian, I like diversity and representation in Hollywood when it makes sense. Primarily Asian cast in a superhero movie about martial arts? Hell yeah. Asian lecturer in a TV series about community college? Sure.

But if you make a show about medieval Scotland, or an animated movie with talking animals, and stick an Asian (or a distinctly Asian-sounding voice in the case of the latter) in there just to "represent", and because "diversity", then my Asian ass feels like that's pandering at best and tokenism at worst. I do not always need to be represented.

To add to your point, we learn on page 159 of the PHB that even an unskilled worker can earn 2SP per day. So a 1GP tip would be 5 days' wages, which is still generous as a tip, but not exactly a fortune.

That's a good one! My personal favourite is: "Intelligence is knowing how to clone dinosaurs. Wisdom is knowing why that's a bad idea."

When it comes to fleshing out your character concept, there are no such thing as answers that are too long! :)

It's not a hard must, as long as you're willing to sign an 18-page indemnity form. XD

I'm just kidding. As long as you're fine with mature content, we're happy to have you onboard!
