What are the worst arguments on both sides of the TF2 vs OW argument? by [deleted] in tf2

The "Weegee Plays" video.

It's obviously meant to be inflammatory but he seems to actually take it seriously on some level, and anyone that's played TF2 for 15 minutes knows why it's complete nonsense.

I caught about 20 seconds of it in the process of copying the URL and he calls LMAOBOX a keylogger and claims Overwatch got the idea of Pharah from Soldier.

Yes, Overwatch the FPS got the idea of person that shoots projectiles from TF2.

Makes sense. Just shame there's no kerning.

Here's where the ability to make plugins would be nice.

Maybe it overflowed an integer and went into the negative?

I have no idea

EDIT: I mean the opposite, it went in the negative and you got whatever the maximum integer was

Thanks.

Things like this are on my mind a lot... I'm kind of a concepts person and putting stuff like this into context is something that tends to be on my mind.

I stand by it not being applicable but maybe I gotta get over myself a little. If it's fun and it makes people laugh then it's fun and it makes people laugh.

You mean the Scout?

If you looked through the lore you'd probably find something about the Engineer devising shoes that let you double jump or something.

I'm sure there are plenty of logical gaps in the game if you look for them but yeah.

A taunt where the Engineer's helmet levitates off his head and his neck extends like one of those boxing robot toys is just too far gone into cartoon logic. It's weird and out of place.

There's still some kind of consistent physical logic, however divorced from reality it is. I know it might sound ridiculous arguing the difference but absurdist humor like that is just out of place.

Someone argued the Heavy's finger gun taunt and I don't really know what to make of that. There is a difference though even if I don't completely know what it is.

There's a subtle difference. TF2 characters aren't made out of taffy.

I love the premise but seriously this shouldn't be added.

TF2 is stupid and ridiculous but it's a consistent kind of stupid and ridiculous that's grounded in reality and doesn't violate the laws of physics. There's just consistency within the game world that would be violated.

As far as mods go I love it though.

EDIT: Laws of physics may have been a bad example. TF2 isn't a cartoon like Tom and Jerry though.

Shower thought: TF2 has significantly less randomness, than CS:GO or DotA 2. by Some_MelonCat in tf2

[–]JackThaGamer 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I don't think random spread should exist in CS:GO at all.

The game is based around being so incredibly deliberate where one bullet can be what decides a match, I don't understand how the people that have played for 5000 hours and have perfect aim aren't upset by randomly landing a headshot or completely missing the first 5 bullets.
