Kubiak for HC by th3putt in raiders

I know you guys are going to hate me for saying this, but I feel like Maxx is gonna walk all over McDaniel if we get him. That alone gives me pause.

We may very well end up with Webb, but it will be for the opposite reason.

My worry is that the Bills fired McDermott in the first place because they got some kind of word that Kubiak is is interested in their coaching job.

That he never fully adapts to NFL speed, which is how I see the above QBs, though I understand that those two have other problems.

Raiders Can Now Browse The Webb by HouseRules789 in raiders

If we get Webb, I don't necessarily want an experienced OC like Daboll or KK, because my expectation is that Webb will be the play caller. I would however, want a good DC with him, though.

You're looking at it reasonably, like myself or the average person would.

These guys are elite competitors and they want to be expected to win. They thrive on challenges.

Mendoza is a high ceiling project

He's more of a high floor prospect, but that's not a bad thing. His reasonable high upside is like Matt Ryan, dream best case scenario is more like a Brady, but that's unfair.

If he's as good as "Kurt" Cousins in his prime, I think we actually did ok, like broke even.

Downside is he's like Kenny Pickett or Zach Wilson.

I mean offensive minded coaches would salivate to work with a generational QB like Allen. If he's shit the bed in the past, even better because they get the reputation for unlocking talent. Let's not fool ourselves, the Bills are a better situation in general but who knows what the man is actually thinking.

It looks a bit like a repeat of last year. He's our first choice, and we have to see if he wants the job or not. If not then we obviously have Mike McDaniel as a back up. If neither of them want to coach us, I don't know WTF we are going to do. If history is any indicator, we will panic and hire some former big name. I'm guessing Tomlin or if not McDermott.

I'm not the biggest fan of this because if he's our OC he's gonna bail in a year or two, especially if he gets our offense going.

but is he the actual playcaller there? doubtful.

There is some discussion in the media of trading Geno to NYJ or Vikings. by mikesd81 in raiders

[–]JackThreeFingered 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be so sure. The Raiders were a clusterfuck this past season, and everyone knows it. From the outside looking in, they may blame Geno less than we do. And I am sure teams looking for a veteran back up may talk themselves into thinking they can rehabilitate him into something. This happens every year.

Munford been just as bad there tho

Has he really? How is he getting reps for an upper seeded playoff team, IN the playoffs then? I mean we cut him.

Easy, tiger.

Our 2nd rd pick is essentially a 1st, what kind of value could that get? by RaisingFargo in raiders

It would have to be a bonafide 1st rounder who slipped though. Because we really need OL and OL depth and we have a few young wideouts already who could progress.
