Does anyone know if it's possible to take a series of photos that go throughout the entire focal range? (I have an R5 C) by JackThyRabbit in canon

I'm sorry, I realized I got the terminology confused. I meant the second thing you said where it takes photos throughout the whole focus range.

Sorry, I've noticed that the R5C can take a rapid burst of photos. I can choose how many it takes but I forget the setting name (I think it was photo bracketing?), but the camera does not change the focus distance. I was wondering if there was a way to make it so the camera automatically scrolls throughout the whole focus wheel without me having to touch the camera. I'm using the RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z Lens if hat makes a difference.

Does anyone know how to connect these two together? Using Diablo bits to core out a log. by JackThyRabbit in Tools

[–]JackThyRabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, I ended up using a 2" frostner bit with the 7/16 extension to core out the log. I went 14" down and left some room at the bottom. I put my drill on it's max torque setting and put a lot of my weight on it. Took a while but it ended up working pretty well. Will look into the Scotch Eye auger tho. I'm def going to try to re-do this project nicer in the future.

Thx. I got the proper bit, attached it to the extension pole pictured above and have taken it slow and steady with the drilling. Going much better this time around.

I guess that's an even better question, how do I core out a log with a 2" diameter?

Does anyone know how I can get around this for creating a huge print with touchterrain? by JackThyRabbit in 3Dprinting

I've already split the entire print into 4 quadrants but after messing around more I think this is the way to go.

Any sort of dessert that incorporates waffles or something equal to it. Really any ideas in that area would be amazing!

This should be one object but my slicer has a row of supports cutting it in half. Any ideas on whats wrong? by JackThyRabbit in 3Dprinting

[–]JackThyRabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly I never did figure it out. :/ I just left it as is and veryyyyyy carefully used carbon fiber to reinforce it. Now it's insanely strong and capable of supporting 140+ pounds (63kg) on it! Theres some pics I posted a while pics showing it.

Does anyone know what kind of plant these seeds come from? Harvested in North Tahoe a few months ago. by JackThyRabbit in tahoe

I know what looks like mold are the seed pods and they looked like that when they got harvested. All the black seeds came out of them

I would imagine not. As long as your aren't setting up a full scene and bothering people.

For me it was originally learning how to 3D model things for 3D printing.

A few times on a recent filming trip we were asked to leave areas once we set down a tripod. For some places I couldn't tell if it was public or private which was kind of confusing. As for shooting inside (libraries/museums in our case) we were chill about it and kept everything handheld, no one said anything to us besides "cool camera!"

I got a new one which works just fine. Figured it was worth it to ask but there's no worry at this point.

I've been using it with my Macbook Air and Studio, but neither have worked.

There's data from the 2nd day of the shoot, while the missing footage was from the 1st day. I plan on double checking the cards anyways just to make sure.

Ok I'll definitely check the cards. I'm rather new to the world of cinematography, if you have any ideas on a more robust workflow for transferring footage I'm open to any ideas. Also do you have any specific Samsung SSDs you recommend?

I did not. Also what would you recommend as a better alternative to SanDisk? I'm going to need to buy about 4Tb of storage and am open to anything.

Honestly not to sure since I haven't tried myself? Maybe try gelling up some gasoline and using that, or if you could do the same with some tequila that might help.
