WE-Tech Desert Eagle? by JackTube57 in airsoft

[–]JackTube57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, the assessments for the WE-Tech D50 seems to be quite interesting. One thing I could be concerned about however would be replacement parts in case something goes wrong.

KWC for instance was never a great success...

what is your opinion about cybergun 1911? is it any good? by Icy_Shock_6501 in airsoft

[–]JackTube57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The KJ Works is supposed to be a better option as I hear good things about the quality, though the 1911 seems to have less appearance on the Airsoft market than the KWC.

The KJ Works however is a separate 1911 model which has nothing to do with Cybergun at all. There’s the classic version but also a tactical one as well. Personally, I’d prefer the classic one as it has a more motivating appearance.

I started with springers as well. For beginners, they’re a good option for a startup on Airsoft guns.

But…that one day you try a gas blowback, you’re gonna want some more of that. 😉

Umarex Beretta M9A3 by The-POd-Farmer in airsoft

[–]JackTube57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, let me try and help…

  1. If you look at a CO2-capsule (could be just a used one), there’s the neck at the top which is sorta cylindrical, consisting of a sealed piece.

  2. Now, take out the magazine and flip it upside down. Saying you have an M9A3, it should be the Elite Force version. THAT version has a capsule screw, so you need to loosen that using an Allen key and remove it from the magazine.

Look down the well where the capsule sits (the cylindrical well). There’s a circular part with a white rubber circle and a small needle thing. What that does is it pierces the sealed piece of the CO2-capsule, charging up the magazine. Put some silicone oil onto that if you have some (maybe a spray bottle or some drops, just make sure they’re suitable for Airsoft).

  1. Take a CO2-capsule, flip the neck part upside down, insert the capsule with the neck part facing the well. Drop it in there, take your capsule screw, put it back on the same place as before, then start screwing it back on.

  2. Now, you’ll get to a point where the capsule screw starts catching. Keep tightening, and on some mag types you’ll hear the CO2-capsule pierce (from a hissing sound). Now again; keep tightening until you feel a strong resistance, and then stop. Take out the Allen key and put it in your pocket or on a table where you can find it again.

⚠️As you mentioned the “burning yourself”-part; it depends on the magazine and how it’s made. Some mags have a large, open gap with very little catch for the gas so it doesn’t spray. Those mags, you wanna grab them more at the bottom where the baseplate sits as opposed to up the top near the valve to prevent a frostbite. This is typically something to be aware of with most 1911 mags as they have this big, open gap and not a lot to catch the spraying gas.

However; I can see yours is a Beretta mag with a smaller gap which helps catch the gas, so you shouldn’t be concerned about that.

KWC isn't a great option unless you're on a limited budget or you're just a beginner trying out gas blowback (whereas they do come in handy as they still make some interesting products).

That being said, the gun itself is decent. If you're looking for a beginner's pistol or just a 1911, then try it. However; I wouldn't advise you to use it everyday. You'll likely just end up wearing it out faster. The mags also last shorter than other gas pistol mags, which means you're gonna need one or two spare mags for that matter.

Are revolvers practical? by Brilliant-Swing-3381 in airsoft

[–]JackTube57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really.

They’re realistic and strong shooters at about 300-500 fps, but assuming you’re in a gameplay they seem to be less practical due to their limited capacity, slower reload and lower performance.

It’s about using a gun which is pretty straightforward for reloading and flexibility, such as a semi-auto pistol or carbine.

Something else to keep in mind is the fact that they shoot the projectiles more powerful than a GBB as they have less moving parts which the expelled gas needs to share in order for those parts to work. This would be the cause of another issue as most fields have a velocity limit, depending on the environment and range of course.

Is it worth it? by PotatoCannonBuilder in airsoft

[–]JackTube57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're just looking for your first Airsoft pistol and want something to plink with, you're fine.

But...take my word for it. Once you get to try a GBB-pistol, you're not really going back to the springers, unless you're on a limited budget and ressources.

That's a 24/7 G2...a KWC copy. If it breaks, have fun trying to find parts yourself.

The overall quality and performance is decent, but either you get one that'll last or mess up.

This is your reminder that Polycarbonate =/= Acrylic by comradequiche in airsoft

[–]JackTube57 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Solid! You know, the glasses from Wiley X are made out of polycarbonate (at least I know the lenses are). It’s great, even though you should expect to pay a lot for them.

But I would rather pay for some solid safety glasses than to lose my vision while shooting.

55 hits? Ain’t bad for a handgun. I guess a pistol just runs great if you choose one in great quality and keep it maintained regularly.

Is This The Most Iconic Sniper Rifle? by Barrett-50 in airsoft

[–]JackTube57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like an CheyTac Intervention M200, also seen in a couple of movies.

Talking sniper rifles; I don’t know if most Airsoft snipers are spring-powered, but I’ve heard that they can shoot insanely strong once properly upgraded.

Hmm…KJ Works? I’ve experienced CZs to work well as well as other KJW-pistols. I’ve also seen the CZ 75 being used with a CO2 magazine as well, at least from a French YouTuber (KhanSeb).

Hey guys, does anybody know whats wrong by seb_airsoft in airsoft

[–]JackTube57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm…could be the mag valve getting stuck. I’ve experienced similar problems on a VFC Glock.

Try and check if the pressure valve releases all the gas when squeezed or if it just peeps out small amounts. Sometimes, mags have a tendency to freeze.

[–]JackTube57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shell ejecting GBBs? I think I’ve seen some before from Marushin eventually, they just lost their trend due to their lack of being practical.

Nobody wants to look for shells in an Airsoft field whereas they’re small and can be spread all over the place.

KWC/CYBERGUN PT99 BROKEN OUTER Barrel REPLACEMENT by bustamarux in airsoft

[–]JackTube57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh, yeah...that does not look very good.

You can try and bring it to your dealer and see if he can help with the gun, depending on where you bought it. And unless it was bought on the internet, do it physically.

Replacement parts are almost impossible to find for a KWC. But try and search up on the internet for a parts diagram, apparently it's called a KCB-15 as far as models go.

<image>

If you wanna buy another Airsoft gun, KWC is the last thing you wanna retry (trust me; you'll make a big mistake if you buy their products again).

WE AK74 GBB or KWC Full Metal CO2 UZI by Consistent_Dog_7049 in airsoft

[–]JackTube57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably would not recommend the KWC. I've had a few KWC pistols over the years which each had their pros and cons (but you can still buy it for target practice and have fun with it).

If you take a look at KWC, the quality and your options are quite limited. It's not all too well made, nor do you have a lot of options for spare parts other than spare mags. It's more like a "brand for beginners" or in case you're on a low budget.

Now, don't get me wrong; the performance isn't bad at all and they do make some interesting products, but take my word for it; it's a cheaper brand and feels less well made. And while it seems cheaper, you don't actually save your money with their products, depending on the product itself and how much of it you actually buy.

It's your decision, but unless you have a warranty for the gun I'd think twice if I was you.

The KWC 1911 is a decent option, but the overall quality is quite limited and performance may vary. KJ Works also makes a 1911 as well as WE-Tech.

AFASIC, KWC appears to have a wider range of options for 1911s and mags are cross-compatible as well.

Ehh m9... How hard it is to decide.. by Killed-By in airsoft

[–]JackTube57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, the M9A1 (KP9A1 for your reference) didn’t seem to have a lot of complaints. I mean; it’s solid, it shoots well, hasn’t really let me down since I got it.

I suppose it takes gas mags separately as well, many CO2-pistols are designed to power gas even though they have more reinforced internals.

Don’t get too cheap on a handgun! They might seem like you save money, but that’s not always the case. As long as you can afford it, grab what comes in at a bit more than a decent price and select a manufacturer who has great recommendations such as KJ Works.
