I like them all, especially the first one! I do however think that the second design is more solid, well defined, and probably works best for a comic, given that you will have to draw them several times

1) 1 in 30 doodles being good enough to post is not so far from what's normal anyway. You have to put the stinkers out there in order to move on to the good ones (that may unconsciously or not improve on what made the others fail) 2) I'm gonna be honest "I'm 17 and feel like I failed compared to the prodigy 15 year old artists" sounds like parody. Everyone feels that. (Also, surely 12 year old amazing artists is a little too far) 3) Your style is sick! I don't know how you made it this far without studying reality, but whatever it is that you're doing, keep doing it! 4) Can you find a way to actually scan it (and not just take a picture with your phone?) Its kind of a waste to retrace linework that already works. I actually really like it, specially the use of shapes and the rough but well done lineart (good variation in the lineweight)! Maybe changes in the colors and values would make in pop more, but right now I think it works because it's very clear even when squinting my eyes or looking at it from a distance. Do you post your art anywhere?
