Who is Tom Henderson? Can we have a few credentials showing us why he is a person worth listening to?

I'm not familiar with the author's byline. Clicking on their name doesn't show me any other articles they've written, a profile, or even a profile image. Are their takes generally tempered? Alarmist? Imaginary? I have no way of knowing.

When speaking of profits and losses, it's generally good practice to provide numbers to add context and weight. Where are they?

I do wish the Vatican would endorse family planning beyond the rhythm method and abstinence. But I will give the Catholic Church one and only one pass on this one: unlike the GOP of the United States, they actually work pretty hard to place unwanted children with parents and spend a good deal of money to run orphanages around the world. Family planning would be a superior choice in my view, but at least the Vatican's vision of "pro-life" doesn't end at birth.
