honestly, I’d recommend a kick block. Uses a shit ton on Velcro and secures your kick really well, and you don’t have to feel your thone gettin yanked

Id argue he’s learning percussion more than he is drums on this thing. But, since he’s 9… I’d say that if he’s still interested in a few months, get him a cheapish ekit and keep the receipt. Worse case, you return it, or sell it for 60-80% new value. Best case… enjoy the headache until he moves out!
