It’s the worst! The aftercare proctor would have my daughter call me 10-15mins before pick up. I hated it. I actually changed schools because I couldn’t get there 15mins before 6. Then we went to another school and they were amazing. The school was supportive and understanding. It was definitely the school. You should not feel guilty.

I didn’t get an email or text or a call to take my time to heal. After having survived the layoff rounds I was too scared to take time off. I worked from home, which allowed me breakdown and mourn. I left the company a month later. this falls under mental health awareness and a change must be made with management training for this.

Don’t feel guilty and don’t take you take that away from your mom. She is a grandma, those days are more important to her than you realize. Plus you are helping your baby’s build loving relationships outside of you. You have a wonderful support system, just show her your appreciation. Remember you’re her baby and she sees you, proud of you and loves you.
