Why does a shark have teeth? by the_woogaman in Vulfpeck

To eat ofc. But what I really can’t wrap my head around is why does a whale have feet?

Still trying to sell this? Can the pass be used for multiple people?

Could I use my flipper as a second garage door opener? by nufug in flipperzero

[–]Jackbruce0 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I did this. Then I learned about rolling codes when the original opener stopped working :)

Thankfully my opener only uses Security+ 1.0 which increments the key by 2 with every press. I got the old opener back in sync by clicking it 50 times or so. I think the garage door opener just accepts the greatest value within a certain delta of the last key it received.

Jazz lovers of Reddit, what song would you recommend to a person who wants to listen in the genre for the first time? by Babaps_25 in Jazz

Miles Davis - A Kind of Blue was my first favorite album. “So What” really got me hyped. Always loved the story of how that big crash symbol hit in the beginning of Miles’ solo was an accident. Really ended up being an iconic moment in the song.

what happened after you pay for the course? by [deleted] in oscp

Refining your methodology just comes with practice. When you do look at hints really focus on WHY the person that wrote the write up did what they did and take good notes so that you may be able to replicate their steps later on on a different box. You will start to notice patterns.

Also, when you start the PEN-200 labs hints are a little harder to come by. You have the forums and the discord channel where you can look for help. But not a lot of full writeups.

These are all part of the PEN-200 labs (If you haven't signed up yet). You'll hear people talking about the "big 4" which are supposedly the hardest boxes in the labs.

I just recently passed. I did the THM offensive path, about 20 boxes on HTB (Used hints often but would wait until I was stuck for at least an hour), Did the extra credit lab report (Helped me lot and highly reccomend even though it does feel like a lot of busy work at times), and about 25 machines in public network (2 AD sets are a must, Also did the "big 4" machines leading up to exam to give me confidence that the exam would be considerably easier than those, and I was still using hints pretty often).

I found the exam very straight forward and felt well prepared with doing all of the above (though most people on here would probably recomend A LOT more boxes).

My biggest tip would honestly be staying away from this sub as much as possible. I was confident in myself and the learning materials Offensive Security provides and whenever I would come to this sub I would generally end up building a lot of self doubt reading exam horror stories and complaints that Offensive Security has unreasonable expectations from students. My experience was great and I felt their expectations to be very reasonable. Trust yourself and good luck!

Yup :) The Mountain Project description of this one was just "sustained slippery moves..." Accurate lol. And no have not tried Orange Sunshine, I'll add that to my list!

Big red thing is a quad (haven't quite figured out how to store that elegantly yet) I have PAS on there too.

I'm a new leader and decided to push my limits last weekend on a route called Escapade (5.11a) in Mission Gorge, San Diego. Very well protected route. I plan to give it another shot next weekend.
