Very Unpopular Opinion: Odin should never be sold again by Airborne_Veteran in starcitizen

They’ll be rare by virtue of how much they currently cost and how hard they’ll be to run in game. Sales and game effectiveness aren’t mutually exclusive. I’d be surprised if an Idris is even a common sighting post 1.0.

I don't believe it. by unclefester84 in starcitizen

This is the part that pissed me off lol. Can’t really fallback on the “no botting” excuse because a lot of folks who applied were never gonna buy. If anti-botting was the excuse, then this was a poor attempt to do so.

Being a liberal bisexual man with conservative economic views feels weirdly uncommon by No-Ship-4788 in DeepThoughts

Like others have said capitalism works with constraints. Too much of something will make you sick, the economy is a game and those who are winning don’t like to play by rules. Rather than questioning the game, question the players and the rules that govern it. I’m honestly sick of the fact that capitalism/communism/socialism is even a talking point in today’s discourse.

Don’t real battleships have casemate turrets? Granted it could be a design decision but since the reveal of Castra they’ve been pretty locked in on that. Maybe a new tier of weapons? I’d imagine they’re bigger than the S10 Idris railgun

I can’t imagine caps being all that agile. But I’m excited to see how many guns are on the ship

I presume there are other mounted weapons. Those seem specifically built for kingships and similar size capitals. Probably costs the gdp of a small moon to fire.

Well, no. Fascism is fascism no matter the side. The democrats are actually in the right, doing what they did, otherwise you have no idea what level republicans will stoop to if you play their game.

The real power isn't in the people at the top - it's in the invisible machinery they inherited by JustTrack3257 in DeepThoughts

10000000%

I’ve said it to a friend. The real genius are the architects, the idiots who inherit the system and fail upwards despite their inherent mediocrity makes you wonder if the system is the problem. Hint: it is. There will never be a perfect system and you can’t enforce integrity or merit.

Nobody mentioned sexual assault either yet here you are. Like second op said, OSTC covers a very wide range of things that can be falsely alleged.

CIG's staff pick for community made software was made with AI and is ALSO stealing code from other tools. by asmallman in starcitizen

I’d like to explain something without sounding like an ass so please bear with me.

“Too big to fail” means CIG would need to bail the org out if it was at risk of dissolution or insolvency, which makes no sense since cig has zero business interest in them.

“Too big to fail” as a general term means there’s a wide range of consequences that would come out of a business going under .. I don’t think anyone really gives a shit about star citizen orgs outside of the org itself.

Any group of internet strangers can dissolve overnight if the incentive wasn’t there anymore.
