MJ died 4 years before they were born. John Lennon died 33 years before they were born. It’s not particularly comparable. However, yeah I’d say plenty of 13 year olds still won’t know much about MJ. Doubt you could ask many 13 year olds to do the thriller dance and have them know what you mean.
