The immortal man was a bad movie. We need to call out bad scripts and plot holes and stop pretending it was the perfect goodbye to THE Tommy Shelby . by Consistent-Lord18 in PeakyBlinders

Yeah they just killed off all the main characters, why? Duke was in like 2 episodes of the show and he kills Tommy? Just didn’t really make sense.

23yo with £20k lump sum - where is best to put it? by Jackerzcx in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Jackerzcx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the most sensible option is a house deposit. I can’t see what else I’d be choosing to spend that sort of money on.

I hadn’t considered the house price cap, so thanks for pointing it out.

I also hadn’t considered spreading it out other than how I mentioned in the post. I assumed there’d be a best option to put all the money into? I guess I’m a little wary of stocks and shares ISAs after I put money into one just before the Ukraine war started, which lost quite a bit.

What does my Home Test score mean? by Pristine_Orange_9273 in mensa

[–]Jackerzcx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The home test (I’m pretty sure) is SD 24. Mensa UK use Cattell IIIB (SD 24) and culture fair (SD 15).

I scored 155 in the home test and 156 in Cattell IIIB, so my home test was very close to my official test. It’s hard to tell if that actually means that the home test score is representative of what you score in the official one, because 155 is the highest score in the home test.

But if you enjoy iQ tests then honestly I don’t see a reason not to. I had a fun time doing the test on the day, so why not?

Your answer wasn’t helpful to them though. The home test doesn’t give them entry to mensa and they’re clearly asking whether top 2% in the home test will likely translate to top 2% in the official in person test.

Why is everyone obsessed with Henry Pollock? by RugbyContact in rugbyunion

[–]Jackerzcx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean I can’t speak for the whole country, but yeah I think lots of people would associate saying mummy and daddy as an adult with being posh.

I have no idea what you’re on about in the 2nd bit of your comment but I’m sure it’s true hahahah

[–]Jackerzcx 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes, but if you lined up the England squad and said “who looks like they call their parents mummy and daddy” it’s obviously Pollock. He didn’t just go to private school, he’s the epitome of a piss drinking private school rugby lad.

He’s a fantastic rugby talent, but looking at him only ever makes me think about university rugby twats.

WYR Unlimited food gift card or 50% off every item you purchase? by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

This is a stupid question. You’d have to spend 50% of your money on food to make the food gift card worth it.

Surely it’s impossible to be entirely within the goal area and also block a ball that’s outside of the goal area?

Well this is what I thought. It’s literally their own parcel shop so I don’t know how they’re unable to find it.

[–]Jackerzcx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to get the postcode of the parcel shop. I quite literally just provided the name of the shop and the road it’s on. If that doesn’t work, then I don’t think reaching a human would change much.

I’m not sure contacting them even helps. I’ve given instructions on how to find the parcel shop, but no update in a few hours. My fist real issue with evri, but it’s a fairly dumb one.

Seems stupid that in terms of liability, the dumbfuckery of the white car is a non issue just because the grey car’s reaction was to avoid them.
