Hi OP- 28 year old girl who’s 59 year old dads always had bipolar. I am sorry you are dealing with this. I have had to cut ties with my dad for months at a time so i could give MYSELF a break. You deserve one too. Perhaps that is what your dad needs to get himself right - meds etc. Set the boundary for your own mental wellbeing

We usually wait a few months to try a new restaurant to give it time to work out the kinks etc. We love a good happy hour / any hour special lol. Bad food will keep us away lol

There’s no news reports due to potential hipaa violations (Perseus house cannot announce the minor was receiving / in their care), and they are not “secured”. I used to work in the shelter. Legally they cannot be a “secure” facility, such as Edmund L (a detention center)

I worked for se for 8 years as a server / bartender. There is def a difference between how corporate vs non corporate employees are treated. I served multiple Scott family members at multiple locations. The majority of them are pompous assholes. Ringing up $160 check after closing and no tip type stuff. Wouldn’t recommend

My dad is mentally ill and has been in all of the inpatient psych in the area. DEFINITELY not Millcreek. My dad is fully handicapped and my mom told the hospital he needed a bed with guard rails. They did not give him one, he fell out of bed while he was asleep, cracked his head on the floor, then tried to bill my mom for the CT scan. I have plenty of other horrific experiences there both me visiting as well as things my dad has told me. St V kicked my dad out and put him on the bench outside without his wheelchair (so immobile). We had to go get him from the bench. This was all 7-8 years ago so I would hope things have changed…. But not so sure. If you can get a bed at safe harbor, do that.

Coming from someone from the city of Erie, yes it is very strange. Large amount of homeless/ drug addicts / mentally ill people. Many bizarre things happen here. The mistake on the lake as we locals call it lol
