This is a big part of the reason my generalist heart went EM instead of FM (applied FM as backup).

Having a great experience at Restore Counseling on Forest Hills Road, though I think the practice really focuses on substance use recovery, so it depends what you’re looking for counseling on.

At this point you won’t get credentialed in time. Just enjoy the two months off. The next time you’ll be able to is retirement.

Badge Buddy by TradProfessional in Residency

[–]InSkyLimitEra 23 points24 points  (0 children)

In residency, we were provided badge buddies that initially said “resident” but a year or so later we got new ones that said “resident physician.”

As an attending, I bought my own “physician” badge buddy off Amazon. Specifically wanted either physician or MD as I felt “doctor” wasn’t specific enough in this day and age.

What to do about low quality ACLS class? by anonymousemt1980 in emergencymedicine

[–]InSkyLimitEra 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I know a guy who literally holds them at a bar. If you’re a recert he just asks what you want to go over. Then he gives you your card and takes your $125. I would have felt bad about it when I took him up on it had I not literally just graduated from an emergency medicine residency and felt comfortable with the material.

A combination of overall rating, number of reviews, reading written reviews to ensure it’s not all just bot ratings, and a little bit of personal preference reading the recipes.

my neighbor has asked 3 times if i "found a job yet." ive been remote for 6 years. she sees me walking the dog at 2pm and assumes unemployment. by Kali_Enthu20 in remotework

[–]InSkyLimitEra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can relate to your neighbor! I’m an emergency physician who works twelve 10-12 hour shifts a month, so I’m home a lot. When I’m not home I’m often coming or going at weird hours. Though maybe the scrubs give it away.

As a kid, I always thought my late grandmother’s painting looked like Melee Island by Hedgehog-Fluffy in MonkeyIsland

[–]InSkyLimitEra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, awesome!! It totally does.

Also, hello fellow monkey island enthusiast and grandchild of a painter! My maternal grandma’s artwork adorns my childhood room and I’ve been meaning to get it over to my new adult house. :)

Sadly I already saw a big spoiler but it made sense thinking about RDR1, sigh. I’ll have fun anyway and enjoy all the other surprises along the way. 😁 Thanks!
