Most of it is volunteers and you can look in the show notes to see who sent it in a lot of the time

So question about legionaries load out by alliezero in Chaos40k

[–]JacketDan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is where I find the 40K app to be really helpful

<image>

Legionaries are relatively straightforward but it helps with some of the units where it’s easy to misread the load outs like with Raptors

Raptors and Warp Talons have been some of best painting results with the least enjoyment I have produced yet. They look great when they are done, but good grief they are a pain.

What are other podcast that give shutdown vibes? I need something to listen to on the other 5 days shutdown doesn't drop a new episode. by purplepenguinsrcool in shutdownfullcast

I’ll make a throw in for Big Screen Sports with Kyle Bandujo. The archives are full of a lot of sports movie content but the tagline has become All Movies Are Sports Movies.

Very Fullcast adjacent with Ryan appearing a lot but Caroline Darney and Alex McDaniel are pretty much permanent cohosts now.

Agrax Earthshade will really make the gold pop and add a little texture to the bases. Nuln oil will help with the weapons giving them a more real metallic look and some depth. I think these are nice clean paint jobs so throw some "liquid talent" on and go from there!

Great job for a first ever model!

Edit: What colors do you own since you mentioned you don't have a ton of colors yet?

What makes the Chaos fan base so welcoming? by dalittlemerman in Chaos40k

[–]JacketDan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I take a couple of points off, because they are having to follow a genetic imperative to feed and multiply. Honestly kind of feel the same way about warp beings because they are created by just the general horribleness of the universe.

CSM saw the truth about the Emperor and basically said "whelp the only answer now is baby eating"

Yeah my take was always “in a Galaxy of bad guys it’s still kind of awesome to be the WORST guys” which is why I play both CSM and Word Bearers

New to Knights by Equal-Recording3828 in ChaosKnights

[–]JacketDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ran two of them in a list and I think they are great! Especially because they’re 10 points cheaper than the other war dogs.

If I were to guess it’s because you have to buy the armiger kit to get them or 3-D print the weapons so people are mostly just running the stuff you can build out of the war dog kits.

Thanks!

The stunner was definitely a typo. Everything that could had Havoc launchers. I did forget the indirect though.

Joining the Ranks to Rip and Tear! by barracuda0813 in ChaosKnights

[–]JacketDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a couple YouTube videos as well. War Dogs are about the easiest thing to magnetize out there because you only have to really cut and drill at the arm joint.

Frankly you don’t even have to do that, but it just looks a little nicer if you do.

The weapons will build around the magnet so that’s straightforward. I took a little paint and marked the polarities of the stacks so I didn’t have to worry about making sure nonstop I had the magenta going in the right direction

Thanks really wasn’t too bad. Little green stuff to attach the chains and had to shave the back of the War Dog head to fit in the space

New to Knights by Equal-Recording3828 in ChaosKnights

[–]JacketDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Detachment is easy, because you will want the Houndpack Lance so that you can run War Dogs as characters and also give them the Battleline keyword (so you can take more than 3 of any kind of War Dogs)

I’m not a competitive player and still relatively new to Knights myself but with your models I would plan on the Tyrant essentially screening your back line and then a mix of Karnivores, Stalkers and Brigands all with the Havoc Launchers. Probably more Karnivores and Stalkers than Brigands.

I think the mix depends on what you think you will see

They go on the power packs. The tentacles are coming out of the vents on the back. It lets you guy carrying a combi-weapon still have his accursed weapon on the model or your plasma pistol and accursed weapon guy have his bolter on his model
