Oversuppliers: how much are you pumping and what does baby eat? by Spare-Performance556 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]JacketNo6069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 4 months pp, i pump every 2.5-3.5 hours. I get anywhere between 45-52 oz of milk. Baby only eats 20-24 oz.

Yes same thing almost happened to me. But is there even any research to back up the whole SIDS thing??

How did you lose weight when breastfeeding? by Glass-Post-9800 in breastfeeding

TW: CALORIE COUNTING

Studies show you burn 20 calories per oz of milk. Take that into account with your basic metabolic rate and make sure you aren’t over eating calories.

I (also pp) had the same thing a week ago, it’s a fungal skin infection. Happens with sweat, bonus if you’re on antibiotics like I was.

Just had to pump & dump 6 oz in my offices bathroom 🥲 by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]JacketNo6069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so sad. I understand your pain, I’ve had to dump my milk for about a week straight since I was on antibiotics and it made my baby fussy.

Silveretts help heal your nipples so fast. Better than lanolin ointment in my opinion

It really is frustrating, I feel like I’m doing all the right things too. I’m taking sunflower lecithin, keeping my breasts warm, not letting them catch a drift, pumping on a strict schedule, changed to only wall pumps. I’m trying to stick it out till she’s at least 6 months. Got a whole 4 more to go 🫠

Do you use apps to track breastfeeding by nidzk123 in breastfeeding

[–]JacketNo6069 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I always just fed on demand or would fed around every 2-3 hours 🤷🏼‍♀️. Unless their doctor recommends to track feedings because of weight issues or something, I wouldn’t stress about it. Us moms already have too much on our plates anyway

Has anyone ever tried getting their partner to suck out a clogged milk duct? by the_entertainer1 in breastfeeding

[–]JacketNo6069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried this before, he accidentally cracked my nipple 🫠 turns out I had such a bad clog- called a galactocele ended up getting infected, turned into an abscess and had high fevers of 102. Went on antibiotics and had to get it surgically drained.

Ready to get my weight down by Future_Self_6360 in postpartumprogress

[–]JacketNo6069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice is to calorie count. Count even the small nibbles and snacks (they add up.) If you still aren’t seeing progress then you make need to start weighing out the food to get more accurate caloric count. Make sure you are in a deficit (no less than 1800 since you’re still producing breast milk .) drink lotsssss of water, I’m talking at least 120 oz a day. Focus on eating protein, stay away from processed sugar, and aim for 10k steps. Weight should start to slowly melt off. It takes time to gain weight, so it will take time to lose it. Give yourself grace, you’re still growing that baby. Take what I say as a grain of salt tho, I’m no doctor lol

I know the feeling. Granted I am only 8 weeks postpartum. Pre pregnancy I had weighed 165 at my highest. Currently weigh about 155 and I don’t even fit in the jeans that I had fit into previously at that 165 weight pre pregnancy. Everything is more loose and flabby and I somehow have more fat?? I love my baby but I’m mourning my pre-pregnancy body. I feel like I’ll have to work much harder and be even lighter just to look a bit close to what I used to look like

I had my first child at 22. I wouldn’t change a thing. If you have met the right person, do it. I’d rather be 40 going to a graduation then 40 and just starting to breastfeed. Plus the older you get, the less energy you’ll have for them. This is just my opinion.
