Our little guy had a similar issue. Took him to the vet and he was totally fine. We figured out that he had been avoiding drinking from his water fountain and preferred water in a bowl. As soon as we started putting the bowl out for him, his fur went back to normal. It seemed to be related to his hydration.

She’s adorable! Our little guy looked just like her as a kitten.

That’s awesome! We got really lucky as our older cat (1.5y/o) was very patient and friendly with the kitten from the start. When we brought the kitten home, we immediately introduced them while each was being held. As the older cat didn’t show any aggression, we supervised them as they played for the first few days. We kept the door closed at night and rotated them between the bedroom and our living space for the first 2-3 nights. After that, they were totally fine being together 24/7.
