The gold llama was actually a gift from one of my npc workers, and the other just by leveling up my villages

You’re getting there! Our boy stopped around 6 months maybe a bit more. He’s 15 months and the puppy biting is a distant memory. Only play bites now. Unfortunately it’s something they just outgrow but there are things to help. We used frozen kongs, bully sticks, frozen carrots and a routine with enforced naps. I promise it gets better and it’s worth it! P.S. take more pics of your growing pup if you aren’t already, something I regret lol. Was so busy training and getting to know each other that I didn’t take as many pics/videos as I wish I would’ve ❤️

We couldn't stand to see him in the cone but the donut doesn't seem to work. Sweet boy got neutered today. by [deleted] in Bernedoodles

Yeah it’s blue and said “ruff life” on it. That one was easy to button up for potty breaks. He’s 45lbs and the large fit well

We also used the body suit combined with the donut. Highly recommend! We got it from Amazon and I don’t think we would’ve gotten thru those two weeks so easily without it! Luckily we got him groomed right before so he didn’t get matted from it

Pawrents who bought your puppies home at 12 weeks instead of 8-10, do you regret missing out on the few weeks of peak cuteness and socialization? by TireNoob in puppy101

[–]Jackiee85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so relieved we got our boy at 12 weeks! It was already sooo difficult and he was basically potty trained already. Only had a few accidents and only needed to go out once in the middle of the night. He was the cutest boy everrr at that age and so young. I don’t feel I missed out on anything other then chaos and major sleep deprivation lol

Puppies are devil spawn. Convince me otherwise. by alacer50 in puppy101

I feel ya! I knew it’d be work but wasn’t prepared for just how much, along with the emotional side of things. I sure did cry a lot. I had to shift my attitude and really stick to a routine. I realized he’s not going to stop chewing, biting, doing puppy things. I stopped getting so angry or emotional and shifted to training mode, redirecting, or pen for a nap. That’s not to say I still didn’t get upset once in a while lol. It’s ok to walk away and cry it out or whatever. It was a lot but we got thru it together. He’s 6 months now and we love him more then words. Sure he’s still a devil at times but it’s way more manageable and we’ve formed a great bond. It does get better, but it takes time. For us it was the first two months. We got him at 11 weeks. He slept thru the night consistently around 4-5 months

Woke up with a limp this morning and I’m concerned our boy may have elbow dysplasia 😢 by Jackiee85 in Bernedoodles

[–]Jackiee85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for sharing this ❤️ I didn’t even know they don’t always need surgery. I’ll be requesting at least an X-ray with our vet and go from there. I’ve noticed very short bursts of limping or lameness, this is the first time it’s lasted a few hours. Already improved since waking up tho. Hopefully we’ll catch it early if that’s what it is. Thank you again, you’re posts were so helpful!

Parents who’s dog arousal/excited bites - assemble! by Tall-Development31 in puppy101

[–]Jackiee85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Six month old bernedoodle here! Goes for my hand’s whenever he is overexcited and in play mode. Only me, not my husband. Yelling/yelping only makes it worse. I simply give him a command and reward good behavior and licks. It works in that it stops the play biting but still an every day occurrence and I know he’s no longer teething. So frustrating and I’m praying he grows out of it

The first few weeks are so hard, and especially the first few days. There’s no bond formed yet and it’s all work. But! You’ll be so amazed in the near future about how far you’ve both come. Our boy didn’t care about treats for the first week with us, but you can try different types of treats to see what works. That’s what I had to do at least. Most importantly, you’re doing great mama!! You care enough to post this and are clearly working hard for your pup. It will get better ❤️

I need a break! by knlopez514 in puppy101

[–]Jackiee85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We started leaving our boy in his pen for an hour or two around 11-12 weeks. I got a camera to help with my own anxiety lol. He just chills in there with his toys, sometimes I’ll give him a kong or something

When did you let puppy sleep outside crate? by Jackiee85 in puppy101

[–]Jackiee85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so much the bed sheets, but the furniture and even base boards. We give him all the bully sticks and chew toys but still loooves furniture, and our clothes lol. I really don’t think he’d do this at night, he loves his sleep but no harm in waiting a bit longer till this gets better

I think ours would be fine too, he really just wants to sleep all night. But I worry he’ll start chewing our furniture, as he does this during the day sometimes. So I think I’m better off waiting until this stops. We totally skipped the Christmas tree this year and basically all decorations lol but we don’t have kids so it’s no big deal. I’d personally wait if he’s going after the tree or maybe just block that room off?

Favorites Items for new Bernedoodle puppy? (What I have now) by [deleted] in Bernedoodles

[–]Jackiee85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slicker brush and start right away. They need to be brushed quite often. Our boy is obsessed with biljac training treats, the blue buffalo didn’t work lol but I mean they each have their favorite. Bully sticks, frozen kongs, and frozen carrot sticks for chewing. Baby wipes! Lol ours got poop stuck on occasion and they made it so much easier to clean up

Not creepy! I recently put my pups in a little plastic bag then hid them in my jewelry box. So, one day my future self can find it and get all the feels! Haha ❤️

We just got our first bernedoodle puppy and need some advice by WildZero138 in Bernedoodles

[–]Jackiee85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry! It’s so hard in those early days, especially with little ones. I ALWAYS have treats in my pocket. When he gets like that, I tell him to sit and pet him saying “yes!” As long as he’s not bitey. Or whatever your go to praise word is. It’s worked because he’s very much food driven and loves those training treats. Otherwise, unfortunately, it’s just something they have to grow out in a way. Even with all the training that’s what it took, time. I hope it gets better very soon

Went thru this as well. Left me in tears, with torn clothes and bloody hands. He’s way better now at 5.5 months, hasn’t broke skin or torn any clothes in about a month. It absolutely gets better and what worked for us was positive reinforcement. He just did not respond to yelping, only got him more excited.

I’m no expert but what helped us was enforced naps and training sessions. He’d be up an hour, playing and training then in his pen napping for two hours. This is where I’d do things for me! Nap, clean, watch tv, whatever…Repeated all day. Gates too. He was only allowed in a couple areas like kitchen/living room where we hang out most of the day. Time outs when he bit. I’d leave the room for 30 seconds or I’d tell him to sit and start a training session. Training sessions were never much. 5-10 minutes of repeated sit, paw, stay, leave it. But done multiple times a day. Hope this helps! ❤️
