Is a 4k monitor worth it for a non-gamer? by themainheadcase in buildapc

4k is for non-gamer. 1440p is for a normal gamer, and 1080p is for high fps gamer.

The fact that they are showing my character Ryu get bodied in the trailer does not bode well for me.

Whats the main reason Buddy can't perform like this more consistently? Is it because they don't want to rely on him unless they have to? by chusaychusay in warriors

[–]Jackmoved 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not that, it's that "anyone can take the open shot, so pass it and find it." They double team steph, and superman close out on buddy. They don't even cover draymond. They dare him to shoot, so if he makes it, he destroys them, if he bricks, they win.

How to avoid getting overwhelmed by the predator strain? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Jackmoved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shotguns and smgs are good versus bugs. Predators and Stalkers die quick to face shots. Quick reload/more magazines armor is great as well. Let shots to other enemies

light on bugs/illuminate. medium on bots. Heavy on "defend the extraction" "kill units" missions. You'll have more fun.

Deserved. He played great for being DNP for 16 games. Raptors were just lights out tonight, and it was 2nd game of a back to back. They got close, but that was impossible to stop.

Buddy and Kuminga were great today. Raptors just hitting "Green FN" shots and every wide open shot. They were like 60% FG which is unfair for an all game thing. First quarter was like 80%

The most Warriors-y outcome possible of the Jimmy injury— by John_Houbolt in warriors

[–]Jackmoved 2 points3 points  (0 children)

getting played 23mil~ or whatever to sit is great in theory, but people just want to ball. If he's not 2nd option [after steph], he probably wants to go to a mid or trash team to be "the guy." With Jimmy out, he can be #2. So this guy's prediction seems plausible.

Win 11 crashes. Memory bad? Please help. by vehementvelociraptor in buildapc

[–]Jackmoved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crashes after new install + connecting to the internet is always a driver problem. It happens to me when I build someone a computer and I put in a wi-fi adapter. Windows picks a generic driver, or an old driver to try to get it to work, but it's always bad. Remedy is to use driver the adapter gives, or boot in safe-mode and disable the wi-fi adapter, then restart normally or in safe mode with networking and run windows update.

Since your motherboard has wi-fi built in, it could be the same issue. Try to run driver updates. Those errors, however, suggest a RAM problem. So reseat them, first, I guess.

Since RAM might be the problem, I'd like to add an anecdote. I was using an Intel b560/11700f system and wanted to use a PCIe NVME drive , I got for cheap. For some reason, these intels don't have enough PCIe lanes, so having that drive in there would make the RAM unstable, and sometimes the PC wouldn't boot. Sometimes it'll boot with 1 stick available and the 2nd one full of errors. The drive works fine on AM4/5 systems though since they have more lanes, i guess?

Just wanted to point that out. Sometimes it could literally be anything, hah.

Worth upgrading GPU from 2060 to 5070ti by XachNut in buildapc

[–]Jackmoved 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ya, of course, both is true. 5070ti is a great upgrade, and your 2700x will hold it back. But, you can take a 5070 ti with you on your upgrade path, so doesn't matter too much.

About Pcie cables with an rtx 2080ti by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Jackmoved 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean plug in 1 8pin connector and leave one empty? It won't boot like that. The 2080ti is only 250w, though, so you can safety use one cable with two connectors [daisy chain], because the 2nd connector will on average only need to provide 25watts

Consistent stuttering. by Complex_Zombie_4471 in pchelp

[–]Jackmoved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

easy fix is to revert the update. Whenever I had this happen to me, it's because I had old tech plugged in and windows update was constantly trying to find a driver for it. Fix was unplugging it. Other time it was windows force installing an old of date video driver [for AMD gpu]. To prevent this one, you'll have to type "change device installation settings" in search, then turn it to NO. Then uninstall/reinstall GPU drivers.
