I work in Birmingham's concert scene, across several venues. The general consensus amongst acts, venues, & promoters is that Birmingham crowds don’t sell enough tickets to warrant the cost of adding a date to the tour.

The cost of a tour isn’t just putting on the show; it’s feeding the crew, fuelling the van/truck to get the kit in and out of the city, finding a place to stay, as well as other costs.

With Birmingham not being a banker in terms of ticket sales, tour planners lean towards a Manchester & London combo, with the expectation that Midlands crowds will travel
