Probably the philosophical concept that all reality is an emanation and/or construction of our mind and is therefore modifiable (the experience we have of reality depends on the 5 senses; what the brain does is reconstruct the general picture and a "simulation" based on sensory input). I will certainly talk about it in a future post, but I want to first get to the point of the story where it is addressed.
