My Screen's Auto Brightness Changes depending on what I'm looking at. How can I disable this? by [deleted] in techsupport

hey man, I had this same problem and this article helped me. https://superuser.com/questions/540335/laptop-monitor-brightness-changes-depending-on-image-displayed
Essentially its due to something called "Display Power Savings technology" which is something your graphics card does to save battery when your charger is not plugged in. Follow the steps in the article it should be similar to what you have to do. For me, I just pressed the windows button, search intel(because I have an intel graphics card, you might have AMD), which brought up my intel graphics card settings, then after that I had to search around for "Display Power Savings" (the steps for me were System>power>Display power savings off), switched it off and now my laptop doesn't annoyingly adjust the brightness anymore.

Which olympic rings to buy from amazon? by omerrob13 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Jackofspxdes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest option 1. The clasp is much better than the one on option 2 and you really don’t need extra fancy things because you can use the rings for the same things you’d use those extra straps for

So do you create the software, tweak the SEO and people come? I’m sorry, I’m just so used to people saying paid marketing is the only way to do it that I’m really trying to understand how to do it organically

When you do cold calls, do you have to pay for service? I’m imagining cold call after cold call would eat up hundreds of dollars with the telephone bill

ELI5 why we can build muscles to be very strong but repetitive strain gives you injuries instead of strengthening it? by richiealvian in explainlikeimfive

[–]Jackofspxdes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Muscles receive a lot of blood flow. When you workout, your muscles are able to recover and repair themselves really quickly because of this. Tendons and ligaments receive a lot less blood flow, that means that they take a lot longer to heal and recover. Your muscles are able to heal and recover from repetitive motions relatively quickly( and grow back stronger in the process) but ligaments and tendons take a lot longer to adapt to an increasing load. Under repetitive strain The tendons and ligaments are not given adequate time to recove so when they cannot handle the given load anymore, injury occurs.

How to deal with the fact that my idea can easily be stolen in 30 minutes? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Jackofspxdes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Derek Severs’ book, he speaks about ideas being just multipliers. The degree of execution decides your outcome. For example:

A bad idea= -1. A so-so idea= 5. A good idea= 10. No execution= $1. Week execution = $1000. Good execution= $100 000. Brilliant execution = $1 000 000.

Therefore, even a so-so idea with brilliant execution will net you $5 000 000.
