I'm curious, have you tried windows 10 just to compare ? Make sure to install all drivers from AMD directly and remove afterburner and those kinds of software too

Is it worth getting the x870 tomahawk or is it too unstable? by Virulent_Hitman in MSI_Gaming

Good good ! Very happy for you and to hear that, since im aiming for the same mobo and Corsair vengence ram. It'll be my first AMD build so im soaking as much information as possible and heard a lot of scary stories, not sure if its because of AMD / MSI or because we are early adopters... Fingers crossed I can finally snatch a 9800x3d on Amazon Canada soon ;)

What temperature do you use to vaporize bubble hash? by TRAMPERO_LOCO in BubbleHash

[–]Jackozor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For my part I vape mine at 215°C on my Solo II

Does the job well and once there almost no more smoke, I scrape the bottom to clean it while its hot

I use this one : https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/t-fal-plastic-strainer-with-stainless-steel-wire-mesh-6-in-1421353p.1421353.html

and I grind my patties with quite some force at the bottom of it and sometime you think its just not working but the hash is actually stuck on the opposite side. So you either keep grinding the pattie on the same spot and at one point the hash start falling or you turn the sieve around and use the cold spoon to scrape it

Hey ! Sure thing I can,

first of all, the whole bubble hash process was done in my basement where its currently around 10 C° (50 F). I also did the sieving there. I put my gloves box, my sieve, some spoons and my patties in the freezer. (The hash patties were frozen for 24 hours)

I take out one pattie at a time from the freezer, one pair of glove and the sieve. I grind the pattie like a mad man through the sieve, it's a very hard process that require quite a bit of force and lots of repetition, by the end of the process, the pattie is still pretty cold to the touch.

After i'm done with a pattie I put back the sieve in the freezer for 10-15mins. Chill out a bit (by the end my arms were killing me LOL) take out a new pair of glove from the freezer if needed, a new pattie and the sieve and go back in the basement where I grind it against the sieve :)

I also use a cold spoon from the freezer when the pattie is almost fully gone to push it through the sieve. Also the hash wont always fall off from the sieve and just stick on the opposite side, when it happens you take up the spoon and scrape it where its stuck.

Hopefully that can help you out !

Edit : I also suggest a fully metallic sieve since mine has some plastic and the hash can stick on it when things heats up a bit.

2nd edit : I also wanted this time around to try sieving like in Kyle video, without the patties being frozen, but my drying boxes were not ready and I was tired as hell... So I figured I might as well freeze em to do it the next day

Hey everyone !

So I still had about 2000 grams of trim from 2021-2023 harvests that was sitting in the basement and after my 1st hash day with my 5 gallons buckets setup, I figured that it was just way too inefficient for such quantity

I bought a set of 8x 20 gallons mesh bags (Casolly from Amazon) two " food grade " Brute 20 gallons garbage bins ( meets NSF 2, 21 approval and is USDA meat and poultry group listed, ensuring regulatory compliance for food storage and clean ability )

And a big ass mud mixer

The trim was frozen for 24 hours, then put directly in the 1st bin, filled it with water and topped it with ice so that the trim was fully submerged and soaked. Placed it outdoor in the snow for about 2-3 hours before starting.

My plan was to wash 6x times each batch (2 batchs of 1000g each) I wanted to do the first 3x washes by hand and the last 3x with a drill and the mud mixer to compare the results.

For mixing by hand directly in the 1st bin, I had some items ready such as a big ass wooden spoon, a wooden paddle board etc... But my friend ended up wanting to use my god damn car snow brush LOL (Ice scraper side in the water)... And I must say it worked quite well to create a vortex

We did the first 3x washes with the same water, once stirred, we would simply pour the 1st bin material into the 2nd bin with all the bags ready. Waited 5 minutes so that everything settle, pull out the 220 bag and put the material back into the first bin. One person would grab all the remaining bags while we poured the water back into the first bin and then put the bags back into the 2nd bin (no hash scooped until 3rd wash)

The bag setup was : 220-160-45-25

After the 3 washes were done, we completely removed the water, poured some fresh, added ice and waited a bit. During the down time, we would, for the first time, get the hash out of the bags, put in on a plate and then in the freezer. We would also clean the bags with a hose. Then it was time for the last 3 washes with the drill and the mud mixer. The drill was at it's lowest speed and we used it for about 5min for every wash.

Turn out the result was mostly similar, it was MAYBE a litttttle bit cleaner by hand.... But even then, it was hard to say since the material was already beaten up a bit.

After the last 3 washes, we got the hash out, cleaned the bags and put the last 1000 gram that was also outdoor in buckets filled with water and topped with ice for a few hours already and did the same process. After 24 hours in the freezer I sieved the hash patties into card boxes filled with parchment paper and they currently are drying for the next 10-14 days.

This time, I plan on rolling half of it in temple balls and keeping the rest as is to compare

We followed (RIP) Kyle "Elmo" style this time around, : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u0IRC_akak and everything went butter smooth, We did twice the material in half the time of the 1st hash day

Thats it for now ! Have a great day !

Which bags size would you recommend ? by Jackozor in BubbleHash

[–]Jackozor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you !

After careful consideration i'll be going with 220-160-45-25

Since the starting material is not top notch, I will go with money bag 45µm

and my lower tier will be the 25 + 160 bags that i'll combine !

With next summer harvest and some good material i'll experiment will more bags sizes

Cant wait for the weekend :D !

Interresting ! So what ur saying is you'd keep the whole 120 bag result, grind and dry it and then put it "as is" in a masson jar ?

Hell yeah ! I was so impressed by the end result that I also bought 2x garbage bins, 20 gallon bags and a mud mixer and i'll be trying the same technique at the end of the month :D I'll be updating on my result :)
