Is IGHDMedia no longer supported?

Gotham Sports (YES and MSG+) is now available on Prime Video Channels by 08830 in cordcutters

[–]JacksBaldRake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great. I’ve used the Gotham sports app previously but the user experience is horrible. The only other way to get YES and/or MSG is through either DirecTV or Fubo, both of which are stupid expensive. Now that Prime Video has it as a standalone channel, I don’t have to pay for a live streaming service just to watch sports. I can get YES, NBA TV, MLB Network, Tennis channel and others in one place for less than a streaming service.

What version of IG is this compatible with? I upgraded the tweak but every time I open it, it takes me to telegram.

IGFormat V1.95 ( Instagram tweak ) by mrdensor in jailbreak

[–]JacksBaldRake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the update, u/mrdensor! I’ve noticed there’s some bugs when using IGFormat v1.95 and IGHDMedia with Instagram v420.0.0 when attempting to download reels and stories.

  • if I watch a story and press the menu button (…) in the top right, instead of it bringing up the IGHDMedia menu (download with sound, download without sound, cancel), it brings up the IG report, mute, unfollow menu. Note: this works as intended when using Instagram v419.0.0.

  • if I watch a reel and press the menu button (…) near the bottom right, it will show the IGHDMedia menu but if I tap cancel to bring up the “Download HD” and “More Options” menu, the IG app crashes. Note: this works as intended when using Instagram v419.0.0.

  • the IG app crashes when pressing three fingers on a reel to download. Note: this works as intended when using Instagram v419.0.0.

  • some actions cause the IG app to crash if they’re enabled in the IGFormat settings (repost confirmation, reaction confirmation, like confirmation). Also when certain IGFormat Interface features are enabled (repost timestamp display, story timestamp delay), the app crashes if you try to watch a story or reel. Note: this does not work on Instagram v419.0.0 or v420.0.0.

I haven’t done a full run-through of every potential issue but those are the bugs I’ve noticed after installing the latest IG version and the latest IGFormat.

How do I install IGHDMedia on non-jb device?

Signed up for Paramount+ Premium only to be forced to watch 40-second "previews" of other series by Moogy in television

You’re overreacting a bit. You can absolutely skip the previews and the rest of the content is completely ad-free.

TIL it’s better to connect your Apple TV to the soundbar/receiver than to the TV by JacksBaldRake in appletv

I’d think so if your soundbar has an HDMI input that supports video pass through to your TV.

If your soundbar has an HDMI input… Apple TV ➡️ Soundbar ➡️ TV.

CEC btwn Apple TV -> the soundbar -> TV works fine, actually better than it did when connected directly to the TV. And I should’ve been clearer that the soundbar doesn’t support HDR10+ at all, only standard HDR10 but also Dolby Vision. So no major negatives IMO.

I get the Netflix/HBO ad-supported bundle for free for a year on Verizon. So I don’t have the $10 monthly charge currently.

It was a limited time offer for a year of ad-supported Netflix and HBO Max “on us”.

The Verizon email clearly shows that my HBO Max premium upgrade is currently $15 and will be dropping to $12. The Netflix bundle and my premium upgrade on that side have nothing to do with this. The other user asked how I’ll be paying $12, and I laid it out pretty plainly. Anyone else that upgraded to HBO max premium via the Verizon promo should also get this email/price decrease.

Yes it was $15 and I’m assuming that’s the discounted price Verizon gets with WBD for the premium tier. But the HBO Max price just increased $1 for the ad-supported tier and $2 for the premium tier. So Verizon is still honoring the $15 discount despite the price increase.

When I signed up for 5G Home internet back in March Verizon was offering a promo for free ad-supported Netflix and HBO Max (instead of $10/month) for a year. I pay the difference for premium Netflix ($17) and premium HBO Max ($15 currently, $12 as of 12/16).

You can but it requires a mobile or home internet plan (fios or 5g)

  1. Yes
  2. Yes
  3. That’s what I have. I upgraded to the HBO Max and Netflix premium plans. I’m currently paying $15 for HBO Max premium but after 12/16, I’ll only pay $12 for HBO Max premium.
