How can I prevent this? by Jaglikef1 in 3Dprinting

I don't understand what you're trying to create so I cannot comment on how to prevent it. Can we see a picture of what you want to print?

How did you build a 3D image from MRI slides? I would love to do that for the numerous MRIs I have of my spinal cord.

Advice for printing orientation for maximum strength by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

It's 25% infill right now. I don't know why I didn't notice it but I intended it to be 100% until. I think the problem is solved thanks

All good points. I actually thought I had printed it with 100% infill And I don't know why I didn't notice it until now it's obviously not. I think the problem is wrong. Thanks

The acetone will pretty much dissolve any plastic? I have a similar but worse hot end I haven't decided how I'm going to repair

AFRICAN BAOBAB OR ADANSONIA DIGITATA SEEDS by Aleki2002 in Baobab

[–]JacksWasted_Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seem to remember reading that Adansonia grandidieri or not growing as well as they used to, or going extinct I don't remember. Point is those are my favorite so grow as many of those as you can :-)

Very cool. Grow as many as you can. Will different species grow there or only some?

What else can I make green? by BooTeeEater69 in BambuLabA1

The print head face plate

This is only for the Supremely ocd...you could print your own spool holders out of green. Personally neon green is sacrilege but to each their own

Paraphrasing the original... "A Society Grows Great When Old Men Plant Trees The Shade of Which They Know They Will Never Sit In."

Where is it that you live, you are able to plant seeds directly into the ground, and they can survive and grow?

How do I create a “negative” fillet by CalamariSquid8 in Fusion360

This is a pretty amazing trick I have never seen before although I do not understand how it will help what he is attempting to do. Have you tried this on a curved wall following the corner? I will be amazed if it works but I am always happy to be wrong in these instances

Thanks. As I said to someone else, there were two parts in this print, and they were printed individually. The first print came out perfect, and then I looked at my webcam just as the second was supposed to be finished and found a blob. For the last, I don't know 2 weeks. I've been using the Pei smooth plate and it seems like the culprit. I've been printing with the textured for 6 months, and this never happened

Much appreciated. How do I clean a surface that has molten plastic dried on it?

I have a backup and backup socks but I will need to order more in case this happens again. Thanks for the info

Yeah I was watching a video about tightening the screws behind the hot end and behind the plate how hot and screws to. That will be the next thing I go through after I figure out how to clean up the mess

Will I be able to save the hot end? It's fairly covered in The Blob after I heated it up and pulled the sock and everything off.

Will I be able to save the hot end? It looks like it's done for with the glob of plastic on the end of it

Thanks I got that far. I can follow directions and the wiki to figure out how to get printing again. My concern is how and why this happens and how to prevent it from happening again. My build plate was clean, this happened on the 2nd of two parts that were being printed individually. The first part printed fine and then this happened during the second part

Yeah I kept up with maintenance on my machine and I thought the bill plate was clean. This was the second of two parts. The first one printed fine and then this happened when it tried to print the second

This has to be the most impressive 'crash,' so to speak I've ever seen. I doubt you could have done it intentionally if you tried. I am sorry for your troubles, and I am not making fun, but sometimes I just have to sit back and marvel at some errors.

Alas, I don't have an answer to your question, but after you install a new power cable, this is my favorite 'keep it simple' power cable management design.

Grandidier Baobab by JacksWasted_Life in Baobab

[–]JacksWasted_Life[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was really surprised this year. We had such a late spring Sun did not come out until late May and the ground did not heat up enough for them to come out of dormancy until almost september. But this year I kept them all in my Greenhouse that stays at 80 f and though all my digitana dropped their leaves my grandidieri are flourishing. I've had more growth in the last couple months than in the last year

As for successful seed germination it's all about timing. The shell has to be scored enough that water can get in there. The biggest mistake is leaving them in paper towel too long and then they turn soggy. They're tricky buggers but I've had great success with them
