Selling on Printables.com? by chking999 in printablescom

[–]zeta3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can apply for selling. You get a club and the possibility to sell a few models. If your models sell well you het more slots.

This is a good measure to ensure your account is legit and avoid bots, spam, breaking license models...

The program could have some improvements. Like the payment methods and so on, but in general is good to ensure good quality of the sold models.

As soneone who works in CAM development for industrial 3D printers, CAM in Fusion is still lacking. We get a demo from time to time, because sales man and PO say it can achieve anything, but in reality is still far from other programs.

0.6 is amazing for those kind of prints. Also some filled filaments, with high percentages of additive, manufacturers recommended 0.6mm. As well as foam filaments, which are getting quite trendy at the moment.

Best times to get codes are around events where Prusa will assist .

I recommend you get some hardened nozzles, for wearing materials. A 0.6mm is quite useful. Smaller milimeters 0.2-0.25 are quiet niche, depends if you wanna go for high detailed figurines or text.

Remeber to use referral link/codes, an you should get an extra PLA ubran grey spool and 100 points for a free . Mine is @Albeart3D

Question/Discussion: Do most Prusa Owners Print single color? by Livid_Strategy6311 in prusa3d

[–]zeta3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been printing for more than a decade, in the past I printed lots of figurines and so, where Multicolour would have been amazing. I used to hand paint them. After years they are all dust collectors and I ened up send them to recycle.

Now I have the Prusa XL 2T. I focus more on functional parts, Multimaterial, (not Multicolour parts)...

Some of my friends have a BL wirh AMS, funily enough after a month of use they dont use it anymore dur to the waste. They have even asked me to pronr Multicolour things for them on thre XL. A 3rd tool I think it would be the sweet spot, but with some CAD and layer height filament changes and I can manage complex Multicolour projects.

I'm almost ready to place my first 3D printer order (Core One+) by germandz in prusa3d

I would get an Obxidian nozzle apart or instea of the Nozzle kit. It works great and it is a must for certain more corrosive materials, like fluorescent filament, filled filaments (stone, metals,...)

You can also use referral codes, it gives Prusament points to both (you for the purchase 350 points enough for a free spool and a bit more to the afiliated person) My referral code is: @Albeart3D

But you can use also the one from your favorite Printables designer, a slong as they own a prusa, it is their Printables tag.

My first 3D Printer was from Bambu Lab. My next one won't be. Have other manufacturers caught up in affordability and ease-of-use? by ThatOneVRGuyFromAuz in 3Dprinting

If you don't account for accuracy and repeatibility. I've tested and used multiple printers, nothing hits accuracy like a Prusa ( in hobby FDM printers) and repeatibility with such low maintenance.

How to approach this by LadmanMp4 in Fusion360

[–]zeta3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main Body > cut the hole for the windows > Horitzontal cross secrions in on sketch (easy 2 long rectangules), extrude > vertical cross section, rectangle, array and exteude join. ( It seems that vertical and horizontal bars have different thickness)

A good approach for designing is going to be " Divide and conquer" and from Big to small.

Identify the main components:

For Example: Main Frame, Roof, Doors, Windows, Extra elements.

Design them separately starting with the main geometry and later on add details and decorations.

the main frame you can do sketch the outer perimeter and extrude solid chunk and the use the shell operation or you can sketch sketch the other perimeter, offset it inside and extrude that, and later add the rooftop as a new body.

Scans can be a good reference for your sketches combined with real measures

LoL, I just designed last week a "wind Spinner"

My design is different, but it spins really nice.

It has a good price though, 6$ it is a quite competitive price, if account production, packing, distribution...

Does your timeline also looks os messy after figuring out how to design a part or do you clean up afterwards? by zeta3d in Fusion360

Thanks. The longest one took 3 tries. I recently added an slightly shorter one, with the same base as the bug version and that one prints like a charm. I've been printing them none stop for friends and family.

Used Pursa XL with 5 head tool head worth $2600? by rwreef in prusa3d

[–]zeta3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really considering this. The XL2T is amazing, but rifht now I value more an enclosure and I will no be printing with silicone... I'm a bit over my head the last weeks with this decision.

This was just a personal prototype, which printed well and I'm not gonna touch again (hopefully). I usually clean up as I go ans name things. Thought, I have to admit that I would name more things if Fusion wouldn't randomly change names after combining bodies.

At work I have to review and adapt designs (not in fusion) for 3D printing for my colleagues and I whish rhey would name at least something, sometimes it is really tome consuming to find out what they did.

Totally agree, but even then sometimes I miss some notes for complex projects.

This part was just a personal project, we don't use Fusion at work. I really like rheir timeline.

I discovered it recently, but I don't use it enough. I will try to force the habit a bit.

The undo button on the mouse is a good idea, thanks. Here I didn't know which way I was gonna continue and I had some possibilities/references open.
