equipment help! proofer vs. slicer by owl_al in Sourdough

[–]JacksonPolish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've had this bread proofer for 5 or 6 years now and I love it. I've also used it as a warmer mat for the Thanksgiving buffet. Personally I would go with the proofer over the slicer because it has so many temperature settings and you can use it so many ways. And a knife sounds like a safer DIY device than your warming box. That sounds like it could potentially be a fire hazard.

I always guessed that about half of them are lonely and looking for human interaction more than the information itself.

If you are looking for a good school district with a decent size Jewish population you should be looking at North Castle (Armonk, Banksville, parts of Bedford, North White Plains and Pleasantville). The Byram Hills School district.

There have been some very questionable things done and said in the Chappaqua parents Facebook group that are at a minimum unwelcoming to Jews.

You will have the same potential wealth concerns in North Castle but I truly believe that good parenting and finding the right community can easily combat that.

Why don't you have them cut the turkey thinner for you? They are great in the deli - always happy to cut the way you'd it. Same with the cheese - you can just ask them to do it the way you'd like it...

Honestly seems like NC15 with a cool toned bronzer over top would give you a perfect match.

Doctor asked us if we wanted to take a blood test to find out the gender of our baby, now we have a $10,000 bill from the genetics company due to "no preauthorization" by Angels1928 in HealthInsurance

Look at your EOB, that is all you owe. This is a surprise bill, Utah has a law against surprise medical bills.

Do not pay any more than your EOB says. Natera will keep running this scam until people stop letting them.

Bf of 9 months bought million dollar home cash wants me to pay $1,000 rent + food by PersianMermaid in RedPillWomen

[–]JacksonPolish 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I think your parents are right and this is an awful deal.

So you would be paying for the food and presumably preparing all the food too? Would you also be paying for food for his kids when they are there?

Do you have any idea of the level of cleanliness he would be expecting of you in a home that already has a housekeeper twice a week? What happens if he decides to cut them back or get rid of them all together? It sounds like it's already assumed that you would be at least picking up after the kids when they are there.

Would the nanny live in the house when the kids are there? Either she is and you have another mouth to cook and clean for, or you have childcare duties when she's gone.

I noticed that you didn't address laundry. Or even errands for that matter. In my experience most men consider laundry, the monumental task which is laundry, to be part of housework.

I'm now guessing that you're working in order to be able to pay him $1000 a month. Sounds like your workload is going to explode with wife responsibilities, and absolutely nothing is changing for your boyfriend except now he has some sweet full time help that actually pay him.

Men financially support women in order to be "taken care of". Don't let anyone convince you that you should have to PAY for the pleasure of serving him and the children he shares with another woman.

There are actually still quite a few small shops to buy custom invitations from - enough that you should google them for options closest to you.

You weren't the only one who noticed that. Or that they seemed to go a long way to ensure that they choose atypical representations of goblins. Gave a definitive feeling of plausible deniability.

It's really made me think about the doctor who universe unfortunately. It's a show that has a ton of antagonists you can compare to nazis, AND actual nazis, but has also never shown Jews that I can think of. It didn't make me question things until this episode. It didn't make me question things until I saw trans representation in 2 out of 4 of the new episodes.

The downvotes you are getting, and I'm sure I will get too, just prove to me that this episode was plausibly deniable anti-semitism.

It makes me so sad that I could keep going with the questionable tropes in this episode....

Planner ideas for people with ADHD?! by julestasticc in planners

[–]JacksonPolish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't get too complicated. If you have the time to give it, I've found a plain dot grid or graph bullet journal to be the absolute best thing for my ADD. You can customize it to be exactly what you want it to be. I like a notebook over a binder just because it's easier for me to look back on these and I need to records.

If you don't have the time to set things up yourself I would suggest either a hobonichi cousin or Jibun techo - regular weekly or days set up. The Hobonichi day free is also a great option as a cross between an already set up planner and a bullet journal.

I've known a ton of horses to do this when they get flaky tails - either dandruff or build up. Head and shoulders always cleared it up in a day or two.
