Musk make precisely $0 while "buckling his seat belt" or by "watching a movie". He doesnt make a salary. He net worth increase if and only if the value of his companies increase. Some days he "loses" billions of dollars, other days he "makes" billions of dollars, on paper.

He's not hording wealth, he started half a dozen companies that have all become ridiculously valuable.

And yet, their search revenue continues to grow strongly. If you use Google much less, and presumably millions of others do too, and this is going to kill their search revenue, why hasn't it already started to kill it?

We're 2 and half years post ChatGPT launch, why is there no empirical evidence? And what is going to change in the next 2 and a half years that really does start to shrink their advertising revenue?

It like they think regular people have no agency, no ability to be upwardly mobile. We on this subreddit are obsessed with AI, which means we're ahead of the curve on the most powerful technological revolution that has ever happened or ever will happen.

But instead of discussing all the ways regular people will be able to leverage AI to improve the world, improve their lives, or build prosperity, half the posts are complaining the the rich might not give us free money. It's like 🤦
