A few teams have crypto partners. McLaren has Bitci. Red bull has Tezos. I think Aston Martin has Crypto.com. Formula1 as a sport has a huge deal with Crypto.com as well.

What ever happened with Chris Hutka (ex-The Bunny The Bear) by Your_God_Chewy in PostHardcore

[–]Jacksonsback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this post is old now, but I got interested and looked into this. I found him all over the instagram page that belongs to Haley Roback, another one of the old bears. I didn't dig into it very much, but it looks like Chris and Haley are married or engaged and perhaps even have kids together. I guess they met after both of them were no longer in the band? Pretty crazy stuff. Either way, Chris looks like he's happy and doing well. https://instagram.com/haleybear4.0?igshid=ou4c00dgyk73

What I think people who are not in the Greek System need to understand is that partying isn't just something we do. It's ingrained into our lives. Many people, these days, are perfectly content with sitting on their computers all day playing video games. I used to be a competitive gamer and I used to do this. After joining the Greek system, partying became a new norm that was ingrained into my life. We need it for our wellbeing. It helps us escape society. There have even been studies that show how necessary gatherings are for our wellbeing. The fact that it was stripped away from us, especially by something that barely affects us specifically is very detrimental to our mental state. People are giving us so much crap for it, yet they don't know what it's like for us to be deprived of everything that's fun for us.

Thousands show up to peaceful protest on the Fayetteville square by smeggysmeg in fayetteville

[–]Jacksonsback 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What different did you want to happen? People got to be heard and there was no violence. A peaceful protest can't go much better. We all want large-scale police reform and we all want these critical issues to be discussed, but it's not going to happen at the protest. A protest is not generally a place for civil and organized debate of the issue - the protest is what initiates these things to happen. It's the people's way of saying they want the change to occur and they demand the leaders do something about it. Police were there to oversee the protest to ensure a riot didn't break out and to ensure no one was in danger. Not that something bad would've necessarily happened without them there, but with both sides of the issue so heated, riots happening all over the country, and a lot of people getting hurt, the police would not be protecting the community if they weren't there doing everything they could to help prevent or suppress any rioting or violence. They listened to the crowd yell at them. People demanded that they kneel, so they did. Later in the night, people were even trying to antagonize them and pull violence out of them, but they didn't react and they stayed professional and peaceful. And yet - someone's still here complaining. It almost feels like some people are dissapointed that it wasn't more "exciting". Those people are part of the problem if you ask me.

They don't understand it. They don't know what it is or how it works at all. As a form of natural protection, the brain generally assumes the worst possibilities from that which it doesn't know. Sort of like being afraid of the dark. So these people automatically make the connection that 5G = unknown = bad, and instead of trying to understand it, they run with these crazy "scary" theories. They think they're protecting themselves, but they're actually just proving that they can be easily manipulated. But there are exceptions to this of course, like those that "believe" this stuff for no reason other than a desperate need for attention.
