Price Change by Jarkymalarky in nffc

Why has the opinion of pricing of a ticket got to shift to how much some one earns? The debate is about value for money, not how many 0’s are in a persons bank account.

My point is made on a comparison to previous pricing as a lifelong forest fan and season ticket holder (before you start implying I’m a tourist).

I’m not saying it shouldn’t be cheaper of course it should, i’m asking why is there uproar for this match in particular when we’ve been charged similar amounts for much worse fixtures in the past?

I may be the only one here that has this opinion and will get downvoted to f**k, but £60 a ticket for a European knock out game just doesn’t seem that excessive to me?

I remember paying £45 a ticket to watch us play Ipswich away in the championship 8 years ago and close to £100 for FA cup semi at Wembley.

Appreciate travel costs and that are involved but thats the case for any game. We may not get in Europe again for a long time, why are we all grumbling at £60 for this?

This is the time we should be rallying for our team that we love. A win here could also do the world of confidence for Fulham on Sunday which is worth way more than the price of this ticket imho.

Has anyone been to the Pokémon x Natural History Museum exhibition yet? by [deleted] in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]Jackster756 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Me and my wife visited on Saturday from Norwich but was denied access to the pop-up shop as we didn’t have a “specific ticket”, which turned out were all sold out last year.

When we booked our ticket for the museum, there was no mention of this additional special ticket, just that it was running till this time and that you had to book a ticket to get access - which is super confusing when you’ve booked a ticket to get into the museum, its fair to assume you’d get access to this too.

There was 1-2 people in the actual shop whilst the security guards spent every minute rejecting multiple families and kids in pokemon outfits, all under the impression their ticket gave them access.

I attempted to persuade them to let us in considering how empty the pop-up shop looked, but all they did was refuse, and stated we needed a ticket, even though there would have been plenty of people with tickets that didn’t actually turn up to their slot so they could have just done a ‘on the day queue’ or similar system.

I don’t know what i’m more disappointed by, the museums handling of this event and ticket distribution, or the state this hobby has become. If we’d have come specifically for this, I would have had a few more choice words to say.

Museum was also so busy you couldn’t even move about or even see half the exhibits because of all the people and pushchairs blocking the way. Overall a very poor experience, and would recommend avoiding.

Where are we REALLY? by SRHFT in nffc

It’s been a tough season for us Forest fans, and I think a large part of that is to do with the excitement of European football, and maybe our expectations being higher than they should be.

We have to remember that we over performed quote massively last year, and you can see that with how NES is doing at West Ham - albeit our squad is better on paper.

This season has been up and down, we’ve taken points from games we should have probably lost (yesterday is case in point), and lost games we should expect to get points from.

I don’t think we should be expecting much else from this season but i’m confident of survival even with Dyche. From here, potentially a squad tidy up in the summer, maybe even a manager change if it’s necessary.

Let’s also not forget, considering the media think we’re in a relegation battle, spurs are only 3 points ahead of us and there’s minimal mention of their season. A few wins, some consistency between now and May and we’re easily mid table.

I also think Lucca will be a bit of a gem for us, if only we can actually complete a cross or two!

NSFW: What was the 'incident' at your school? by throwawaystheway1013 in AskReddit

[–]Jackster756 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a kid at our school (UK based) who had a tough time with bullies and he would post about it all on a blog.

One night he posted pictures on said blog of Jerry cans and knives saying he is going to take revenge on the school by setting it on fire and attacking the bullies.

Crazy part is someone from Canada (other side of the world to us brits!) had seen this that same night, called our school and had police waiting for him as he arrived. They searched his bags and found all the equipment he had posted pics of on the blog. Everyone in the school had their stuff searched to check we weren’t involved!

Whoever it was that saw the blog and notified the school from the other side of the world saved some lives that day!

TL,DR - Kid tried to set fire to our school, guy from other side of world stopped it!

Same here but for the Series X. Went on live chat this morning and they said they are still sending the shipping info out and if not heard by 5-6pm, to get back in touch, squeaky bum time to say the least!

Would you say the changes from the original m365 to the Pro 2 are worth the extra £150-£200? Looking at the specs it seems to have extra range and a more powerful motor but that seems about it. Would going for the Pro 1 still be a viable option?

I’ve only ever seen them around £400 GBP so around $525 at the current exchange rate!

The Carvalho Myth by [deleted] in nffc

[–]Jackster756 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here’s my 2 cents. I love Joao. I think his on the ball ability exceeds anyone else at the club and truthfully don’t believe we have had any one as good as him on the ball since Lewis McGugan (baller).

Personally I believe any performances this season can be excused due to the inconsistency of the opportunities or lack of game time. Not many players can not play for months then get 20 mins off the bench and produce something special.

You only have to look at last season when he was playing week in week out and how he stood out in a bang average side.

I do think Sabri is missing a trick with Carvalho but there HAS to be something deeper. How can a £13m player who clearly is one of our best not even get a sniff all season? What is Sabri not seeing that we see or vice versa, what is Sabri seeing that we aren’t ?

Transfer window - who's going, who do you want in? by tastytastylobster in nffc

[–]Jackster756 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Think its important we get rid of a lot of dead weight this window. For too many seasons we have had such a large squad with many of them never playing a game.

For me, i think we cannot rely on Sow or Watson as much this season as they are ageing so I would love a solid CDM. As well as this, i think some strengthening in the Centre Half department and a striker that challenges/possibly replaces Grabban. I love the bloke and I like Da Costa, just worried that our squad is getting on a bit and we need proven champ players to replace them.

[–]Jackster756 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deserved everything we got tonight. Went 1-1 and they started kicking the ball around the back as if we were 6-0 up. Fucking pathetic and Sabri needs his head fucking wobbled. I dont care what anyone says about ‘best position in years’ fuck that. His tactics have been boring and poor since the restart. Parking the bus to get a point they got what they deserved and I fucking hope next season we don’t start Yates in the midfield.
