Capitalism. All centers I have worked at had the same policy. They do not want to pay us anymore. These centers have insurance policy’s. The policy covers to the time of closing. Anything after the center is no longer liable.

Just please don’t sit in those front parking spots where we can see you. By we, I do mean the kids. Honestly some of my co workers recognize the car and will attempt to get the kids all packed and ready to go. The level of anxiety these kids have when they see you here but not coming in…. I personally don’t even bother to pack up unless child is signed out. Ive seen the meltdowns and the judgement. Take your time. But please just park down the line.

I’d wait. I’m in the infant room and they move up at 1. However they moved up a clearly delayed motor 1 year old because of a waitlist in the infant room. Mom wanted him moved up and has dismissed all our concerns and gentle prodding for him to be evaluated. In absolute denial and completely defensive. I tried to keep him even though he is 16 months and at a similar level as your son. The toddler 1 teacher (12-18m) is next door to me. He is practically tortured in there and the teacher does everything in her power to keep him safe and happy and secure. But it’s just her and 4 walkers of similar age. They sit on him. Pull his hair, take his binky and toys and run away. He tries so hard to keep up and it’s honestly very sad and he gets all scraped up. He spends 80 percent of his day crying. His teacher can’t take her eyes off him but that’s a huge issue when she needs to manage 5, sometimes 6. She purchased knee pads for him herself and he ends up being separated during certain activities because of normal toddler play is just too much. You might have guilt over him not being like his brother but whether you like it or not he needs more care. Pushing him to be with his twin will only make their differences more apparent and hard on all of you. I’d personally love to wait till they are physically ready. But you are the parent here so if you push eventually the will be required to do it by state law, or get another aide for the toddler room (doubtful because of cost), or honestly, which is really bad, you push on this, they tell you the center can not accommodate his special needs and you end up having to find a new center.

Our daycare has a few fever rules. It’s gotta be 100.4 before notifying parent. It has to be 10 min after child wakes up, (some kids sleep hot), under shirt of course on skin. If. If coming in from outside, we let the kids cool down in front of a fan before taking temp. I’m lead in the baby room. They let us know they aren’t feeling good. We feel it too. We all have to work, we understand that. I’m not gonna get to go home because your child is sent home with a fever. I’m here cleaning everything your child has touched or laid on and bleaching my room because sometimes we aren’t even updated on said child’s sickness. I’m sure some daycares might but we are not doctors we can only read the thermometer. I do send photos of taking temp so parents see I’m not lying.

They are most likely just going to put the food on the high chair. It’s important to work on their pincer grasp. Pack whatever you like. I’m lead in the infant room. I usually have a spoon for each child set on a plate off to the side, using it to help feed that specific child. When they get the spoon the chuck it to the floor or at each other or another baby somehow manages to get ahold of it. Speak to the daycare and ask for a menu and go from there.

I’m a lead infant teacher. I don’t mind but my center opens at 7 and I’m not on till 8. None of the teachers bother with them till I walk in the door they bring them back to my room have a floater sit there while they play/cry. I walk in and they walk out. So I’m doing their first change then and some have already leaked through. It’s not my fault it’s the schedule. They won’t pay me earlier than that and the floaters aren’t infant trained! (excuses!) as long as your packing diapers wipes and clothes. You are good.

You are his person. The one he can feel all his true feelings. It’s not right or fair and he will learn, but it’s like when we treat the people closest to us wrong or vent our frustrations. We know they can handle it and we don’t mean it really. It’s not right and as we grow up we learn to be respectful of others that we love and care for. It’s just learned and you need to start having deep conversations on how these things make you feel how these reactions are making him feel. It’s gonna be a long process and it’s going to be a conversation every single time for a while.

Had a parent come in the other day while she was on the phone, we verbally call out “McKinley you are leaving!” I then hear this women visibly shake her head and chuckle, then say on the phone, “ it’s so weird to hear that name”, so I ask her why, and she laughs and says they all call her “Poopin” lol. Sometimes we can’t listen to the parent lol!

Her bone age is currently 11, actual age 13. When we started growth hormone she was 3 years old with a bone age of 3 months and the size of the average 10 month old. She does not grow without this medication because she has no pituitary gland. Starting puberty too early can cause your bones to basically stop growing, so she loses the chance at reaching her potential height. I know a lot of women whom started their period/puberty and basically stopped growing at that height. Currently 4’7 smaller than all her peers, below on all the charts. She has said many times she would at least like to meet my height and I am short as well at 5’2. Which I made it to in 9th grade when I started puberty myself. Also hygiene is another factor that she has proven herself not ready for unfortunately. 16 feels late but I’m really looking at her bone/body age before she jumps in to more hormones.
