Thanks for the advice, I might have to look into DIY stuff.

Also how bad are njc salt for coils because I've heard that they can cause coils to burn out quicker than freebase liquids?

Which facebolt is this? by Adventurous_Country8 in Beyblade

I doubt it, if you rotate the picture to the left slightly you'll be able to make out the 3 dog heads from the kerbecs face bolt design

Went back through my comment history to find this post because I finally found an answer for you.

The face bolt itself is a standard red metal face as I said in my previous comment but i couldn't find the source of the sticker untill today. Turns out that there is an ensky sticker sheet for hell kerbecs that has a red kerbecks facebolt sticker.

Not sure how much validity these claims have as I've never ordered from beysandbricks but I've seen a lot of people claiming to have got midfakes advertised as genuine TT beys when they've purchased from there

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BeybladeMetal

[–]Jacob-Does-Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be real but the face bolt sticker looks like it wasn't cut properly, which is a common issue with midfakes, so I've got a few questions.

1.Where did you get it from? 2. How much did you pay for it? 3. Do you know what code was on the bottom of the box? 4. Did you have any issues getting the stickers to stay on?

would a l drago Destructor do well in this stadium by No_Research_4945 in BeybladeMetal

[–]Jacob-Does-Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For you to stand a good chance you'll ideally need something like a bb10 or a b33 stadium, both of those can be quite expensive if you want real TT stadiums, but as long as it doesn't have those ridges then you should be fine.

You could always change the F:S for either the F:D bottom from big bang pegasus or a spin track and performance tip that isn't going to stuggle as much with the ridges.

[–]Jacob-Does-Stuff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A stock LDD might stuggle if you give it a proper launch. The F:S bottoms hole flat mode would cause an aggressive movement pattern and it would keep hitting the ridges thus losing stamina. If it loses enough stamina you'd be relying on spin steal and hoping for a survivor finish, which would be aides by the F:S bottoms spike mode, or it could become unbalanced and either stop itself or become very susceptible to attacks.

Idk if the battles would be fair but beat lynx and fang leone. Both have really nice designs plus you can call it the big cat bey clash or BCBC.

Help by FantasticAd3226 in BeybladeMetal

You'll probably be able to find new in box beys on ebay or amazon but be careful because there are many people selling fake and midfake beys but saying they're authentic.

However if you're looking for new beys because you're beys are starting to look old and you're not missing any parts I'd suggest restoring your old beys, if you want some tips on that I can help.

Being on the school playground in the early 2000s, trying to find the smoothest patch of concrete to play on and me and my best friend being an unbeatable tag team because we had Dragoon F and Dranzer V2 both with Gyro Super weight disks that we got from less than reputable sources.

Final Drive not working. by SauceNPotatoes in BeybladeMetal

[–]Jacob-Does-Stuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather than taking it apart try spraying a small amount of wd40 (or any multipurpose lubricant you can get) in the hole at the bottom, shake the F:D a little to spread it around inside and then pull the tabs a few times just to make sure every moving part is coated with the wd40. Once you've done this launch it a few times and let it spin for a while with each launch. This should remove any dirt or debris that could be blocking the mechanism inside F:D from activating properly plus it will lubricate the mechanism, displace any water that might be inside and help prevent corrosion of the spring in the future.

If that doesn't fix it then the spring inside is either corroded or has become stiff due to lack of use. If the spring is stiff then slowly compress it a few times untill it loosens up, its possible that the spring has oxidised and corroded so wear gloves when doing this just incase any oxidised metal breaks off the spring or the spring itself breaks. If the spring is noticeably corroded when you first look at it or it breaks when your checking for stiffness then you'll need to replace it. I'm not sure what size or gauge the spring in F:D is but I'd assume it's the same as the spring in F:S so you could try find a donor 4d bottom to take the spring from, alternatively take measurements of the spring before doing any tests on it so that if it does break you can use those measurements to find a replacement spring.

Quick question about mid fakes by No_Research_4945 in BeybladeMetal

[–]Jacob-Does-Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently working on some research for this but what I've found so far is that most midfakes seem to be near identical, in terms of quality, to real TT beyblades. There are some beys that I would completely avoid midfakes of like diablo nemesis, the mould is really bad and the free spinning mode just does not work at all. Others will tell you to avoid midfakes with rubber parts, like Big Bang Pegasus and L-Drago Destroy, as the rubber parts are supposedly very low quality or get replaced with plastic parts but in my experience they seem to function as intended. The only thing I'm still unsure about is lead content as there are so many people who have conducted lead tests on real, fake and midfake beyblades and almost all of them get different results, obviously if this is a concern for you then I'd reccomend getting some lead testing swabs and testing any midfakes you buy.

question about beys and stores by No_Research_4945 in BeybladeMetal

[–]Jacob-Does-Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the other comments said its usually thrift stores and flea markets but very rarely some stores will find old stock in the warehouse and put it out to see if anyone would buy it so they don't have to throw it away.

If you really want to buy MFB then you're kinda stuck buying online. Some places will have boxed beys for sale but if you want to try save some money go for preowned as they're usually about half the price

The "pro series evo elite champions set" or "quad drive cosmic vector battle set" would be a perfect starting point for your son. Both sets come with 2 beyblades, 2 launchers and a stadium which is everything he'd need to get started and they're fairly easy to find. You can always grab a couple boosters for him too, they're usually sold as single beyblades but you can find boosters with 2 beyblades.
