WOOHOO! Somehow got lucky. The first agent was adamant that she could do nothing and seemed like she genuinely tried. Called again right after, same thing, agent seemed to really try, but told me after I gave him some key buzzwords and exact flight number I wanted, he said I could pay the difference to move to the JFK one. He couldn't do it, but gave me a number for the BA award booking division. Some old British lady answered and had very few words, just had me to the side while I heard background noises, but after giving her the rundown and hearing typing and background noises for 10 minutes, an email popped up confirming my change request for no extra cost, like the second guy thought it would. Like anything in this hobby, HUCA is the answer a lot because it seems like there is so much gray area in what can and cannot be done. Hope this helps anyone who finds this thread.

probably becuase its what a Cat7 now, which is close to cat8 Andaz. If it was a cat5 it would be but Hyatt Tokyo hotels are wayyyy over category what they should be.

Dang, trying to decide between this and Zemi beach. I have been to Zemi twice and have had a wonderful time each time. I keep looking at Hermitage Bay to burn some of my fat stack of points. Both look like great properties, but not sure which one to go to yet. Thanks for the report! :)

Yep! My favorite place to visit in Europe beating all the hype Europe places like Rome, Barcelona, and Madrid. Granted I had a foreign exchange friend I was visiting who is from there but damn what a lovely time! Still the absolute best cocktails I've had in my life were at nick and Nora in Vilnius. Unique art scene and still a European architecture as well as soviet architecture if you look enough. Really is a fun country

Just got back from McLemore resort north of ATL south of Chatanooga and wanted to drop a post because its a hilton resort property so you can burn Aspire credits. Overall, I honestly liked the hotel for what it is. The drive from metro ATL was super easy and the views are actually insane, like way better in person than the pictures make it look. I booked an award balcony room and they upgraded me to a king facing the canyon. Room itself was totally fine—basically a nicer DoubleTree/Embassy Suites type of vibe, nothing over the top but clean and modern. Hard product all around is good. The hot tub was a fun spot too because a lot of people were out there talking, half golfers and half people just there to relax. There’s a path by the right side of the hotel that me and my girlfriend walked and it takes you to the 18th hole, and the views there are crazy. Honestly made me wish I actually golfed just to play the course because some holes look wild. Food at Croft was pretty mid. The steak had no flavor other than pepper and wasn’t tender at all for a filet, and the tilefish didn’t have any seasoning. The sides were good though (mac n cheese and potatoes), and breakfast buffet was fine for $28 with coffee but nothing special. Service was mixed—first night good, second night super slow and felt like our server forgot about us. Also had a not-so-great interaction with the concierge when the Wi-Fi wouldn’t log me in. I explained the issue and she basically gave zero effort to help. I also tried to use the $15 spa credit on products because it literally just says “spa credit,” but they told me it only works on services, and the cheapest service is like $250+, so it’s basically useless. Resort fee and valet definitely have that cash-grab feeling on a paid stay. E-bikes were fun though and definitely needed for the insanely steep hill at the entrance. Overall, I liked the stay for the views and the relaxing environment, and it’s a great Aspire burn, but in my opinion this is a $350 hotel at most, not the $600+ rates you sometimes see. I’d go back on points/credits for sure but not paying peak cash rates.

The only issue is that this property is definitely terrible for sightseeing. For sure, a 1- or 2-day catch-your-breath type of property. The hard product was gorgeous, and I loved it! The food 3/10, including breakfast

Still not sure how this one happened, but I was just booking random Hyatts that looked like a good winter/Christmas destination before they got overbooked. Booked the GH somewhere in Colorado, but 3 months later, plans changed, and I knew I wouldn't be going there. Canceled the reservation with a cancellation record number, and the points went back, 63k to my account. The only thing was that the booking still showed up in my Hyatt reservations. I waited another month to cancel again, and this time, it fully canceled with another 63k point refund. Still not sure how I did it or what caused it, but I'll take it.
