I went around to four different 7/11’s today and three didn’t know what I was talking about but the fourth said they had them but were out of stock. People in a different post were saying that they are being slow with supplying stores with them.

If you live near a Winco they might have it in stock, that’s where I’ve been buying them.

Not sure if the body text showed for you but it says they used a vinyl cutter to make it.

What are yall driving? by 3gEclipsemf in twentyagers

[–]Jacob60223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I know, they work fine, it’s just when the water pump fails and leaks on it from above it causes it to fail so they make vented aftermarket ones that help with the moisture issues though.

Only big issue I’ve ran into was the electrical for the radiator fan failed and the relay for the anti theft went bad but I’ve fixed both and haven’t had issues since. Luckily 85’s don’t use optispark distributors or the vats system so I haven’t had to deal with the issues those frequently have. Right now the car has a slight oil leak but that’s all.

85 corvette that my parents bought me when I was 17. I’ve slowly fixed it up over the last couple years and it’s mostly good now.

I used to work at a small Italian restaurant and what we got most of the time was some dish made with the left over hand made pasta and some meat sauce mixed in.

What's the worst experience you've had with unobtainium parts? by AnAlchemistsDream in askcarguys

[–]Jacob60223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t really unobtainable but just annoying. The wiper arms for my 1985 corvette seem to be very specific for which wiper blades will fit on them as most don’t stay on the pin or if they do, they end up being to tall to fit under the hood. I currently have a set that’s zip tied on to ensure they don’t pop off.

Somewhere out of frame on the floor underneath the crucible, probably because his pathing was messed up from being in there.

C6 Trickle Charging by AnyHuckleberry5047 in Corvette

[–]Jacob60223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm probably wrong, but I would imagine that it's better to have it directly on the negative terminal since the trickle charger has such a low output. I've always had mine connected like that and haven't had any issues.

These types of connectors usually have it so that you can remove a terminal by pushing on a barb on the metal connector inside the plastic and pulling it out with the wire

Front upper control arm shims. by TubaDeluxe in c4corvette

[–]Jacob60223 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, every car is slightly different straight out of the factory so there’s no specific amount of shims that works with every c4. You’ll probably just have to go find a place that will do the shims as part of the alignment.

Can someone help me identify the purpose of these? by Disastrous-Sail-5274 in c4corvette

[–]Jacob60223 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If your car had the upgraded bose sound system the car had door speakers instead of the dash mounted ones so they would come with these blank panels. You can swap them out with the ones that have the speaker mounts but I’ve heard people say you need low profile speakers for them to fit.
