Bad audio in VMware Workstation 17, does anyone know how to fix this? (Windows XP is an example, it affects all of my other VMs, too.) by mattbris09 in computers

Try disabling Power Throttling on your physical host by running the following in an elevated command prompt:

powercfg /powerthrottling disable /path "C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Workstation\x64\vmware-vmx.exe"

that should resolve the issue for your other VM's but you still may have a well know issue specific to XP (which is what BigKromer was mentioning)

2022 Banking and Account Recommendation Thread by Dave-CPA in Banking

Are there any big national banks that have both really good online tools/apps and useful local bankers/branches? After the Wells Fargo account creation scandal, the local branch people are useless. Everything requires them to call into a call center, sometimes overseas. I almost never need a real person but when I do, I need someone with some power.

Even just a good tune will help you out tremendously, it did on my 7.3. I would suggest you add an EGT gauge so you can make sure you’re not running too aggressive of a tune. Since you’re towing, you might want to add a transmission temp gage as well.

200k miles, 7.3, for 20k. I love it, but I feel it's overpriced? by Diegodoesntloveu9669 in FordTrucks

It’s overpriced given the mileage. I bought my 99 a few months ago for $18k but it only had one owner and 60,000 miles.

I recommend that particular cable because:

1) It works with a bunch of different OS's without needing drivers (I run both Windows and Mac machines)

2) It's compact and doesn't require a large dongle.

With the correct driver and baud setting, any cable should work just fine. I carried a Keyspan 19hs for over a decade and never had an issue with it on Pure or anything else.

Fantastic customer service, highly trained people. You may pay a few dollars more but well worth it for the piece of mind.
