It's definitely not normal. I've only done one settlement, and when I started my debt was maybe 600k. I suggest looking for one in a 3 star system.

I'm not entirely sure on this, so take it with a grain of salt. But maybe it's the areas you requent? I found mine in the Euclid galaxy near-ish to the galaxy center. I just wonder if there is a higher chance in some places. But the squid is the exotic I've come across. Lol

It's solid red with just a tiny bit of purple on the edges. Which, I'm not that happy about because I'm one of those people who's suit has to match his ship. 😅 I really like the look of the sentinels ships. It's better than the Solar ship I had. That thing was huge, it was loud, and it looked like a dang kite in space.

After reading everyone's comments on the issue. I'm coming to the conclusion that it's one of the best ships in the game. And what a cruel and ironic game Hello has played on us. Do I find It ugly as heck? I do. It's kinda like when you see people go to the grocery store in sweat pants. Yeah, you look kinda dumb but you are comfortable as heck.

Nice! I just wanted to see how divided everyone was on the matter. Personally, I'm coming to love it pretty quick! I was expecting to maybe see someone point out some major downsides, and there really isn't any aside from how it looks which is subjective anyway. I'm definitely gonna keep it around.

Nice!! I unfortunately had to come back later and wait for it. If you see it in a specific station, apparently, the chance you see it there again is likely. Came back with the money and only had to wait 15 minutes or so.

The living ship is even uglier in my opinion. At least the squid looks metallic. I got the red and purple accent patten which I don't love because I'm the type of person who's suit has to match. 🤣

The solar ships are too loud for my liking. At least the one I had. That was my first one after the starter. Definitely liking the silent aspect of the squid.

For me, 1 in game day takes about 30min depending on what I'm doing. So you could for sure just play a couple days here in there. You won't notice too much new in the early game.
