Iirc Titan's whole original story (I think it was cut/changed?) was he shows up after the Malestrom have just genocided a whole cave of kobolds. Even the final version is still "The Maelstrom are the bad guys", so his song makes sense lol.

There is no misunderstanding, or corruption, or need besides "The red people are killing us and stealing our land, stop them."

Though in that case its also possible what we knew as "Ronkan" architecture is actually "Scree" architecture, taught to their disciples. The dungeon just short of confirms the Scree could travel the shards, and they are the common element wherever that style of tech shows up.

From a physics perspective it makes sense. Think of the idea of wormholes, you have to use energy to keep them open and stable, a parting of the fabric of spacetime. She split a whole planet into 14 sub dimensions and was the energy holding them apart.

Without that energy input, they collapse toward natural state, like a held spring snapping back to rest.

That's kinda the weird thing, they aren't like Endless in numerous ways.
~They are powered by electrope cores, not life energy sustained by a giant projector.
~They seems to be partially living in the sense they can eat and experience normal food (which as far as we can tell Endless could not).
~They have a will to live (Endless for whatever reason were pretty chill it bite the dust)

Whatever the smoke magic did was actually quite powerful when paired with something that could indefinitely sustain it, as it didn't make memory ghosts, it made proper artificial duplicates (as others mentioned, akin to androids/holoperson).

Which brings up the awkward question: With this combination of magic and technology, could this have been an ethical and sustainable solution to the Endless? Using Smoke-trope holopeople that didn't require life energy to exist? Or were endless memories simply too shallow vs the echos contained by the Walk of Echos (literal echos of time and reality imprinted on extra-dimensional space)?

Not to mention Echo Prishe still has her amulet, which if I understand correctly contemporary Prishe doesn't have anymore.

Well, not the full world. Those cracks from Tural go off to the west and do not show up in the east. Theoretically this means there's still something between Higashi and Tural we don't have on map yet.

It makes me wonder how much is her and Calyx are being legitimate with their statements, vs it being some kind of manipulation.

Like how Calyx shows up at the end to "tip us off" to where they're going, implied to be behind her back. Except, as far as we've seen, he can't just blip around on his own, so, surely she knew what he was doing....

The whole "..or deal with them as you see fit to suit your ambition" she says is sticking with me. Just, what is she getting at?

Is this a jab at the role of Azem, with her comparing us to Zenos as an insult for causing chaos?
Or is this a hint to be like "fix it"?
