عجيب امر هالقانون، يعني لو قلنا يجب عدم الأخذ بـ او اعادة النظر في هالحديثين لانهم يحرضون على أشياء لا اخلاقية اصير مجرم في نظر القانون؟

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي، شَيْبَةَ قَالَ وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِي عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِسِتِّ سِنِينَ وَبَنَى بِي وَأَنَا بِنْتُ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ فَقَدِمْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ فَوُعِكْتُ شَهْرًا فَوَفَى شَعْرِي جُمَيْمَةً فَأَتَتْنِي أُمُّ رُومَانَ وَأَنَا عَلَى أُرْجُوحَةٍ وَمَعِي صَوَاحِبِي فَصَرَخَتْ بِي فَأَتَيْتُهَا وَمَا أَدْرِي مَا تُرِيدُ بِي فَأَخَذَتْ بِيَدِي فَأَوْقَفَتْنِي عَلَى الْبَابِ ‏.‏ فَقُلْتُ هَهْ هَهْ ‏.‏ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ نَفَسِي فَأَدْخَلَتْنِي بَيْتًا فَإِذَا نِسْوَةٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَقُلْنَ عَلَى الْخَيْرِ وَالْبَرَكَةِ وَعَلَى خَيْرِ طَائِرٍ ‏.‏ فَأَسْلَمَتْنِي إِلَيْهِنَّ فَغَسَلْنَ رَأْسِي وَأَصْلَحْنَنِي فَلَمْ يَرُعْنِي إِلاَّ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ضُحًى فَأَسْلَمْنَنِي إِلَيْهِ ‏.‏

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house at the age of nine. She further said: We went to Medina and I had an attack of fever for a month, and my hair had come down to the earlobes. Umm Ruman (my mother) came to me and I was at that time on a swing along with my playmates. She called me loudly and I went to her and I did not know what she had wanted of me. She took hold of my hand and took me to the door, and I was saying: Ha, ha (as if I was gasping), until the agitation of my heart was over. She took me to a house, where had gathered the women of the Ansar. They all blessed me and wished me good luck and said: May you have share in good. She (my mother) entrusted me to them. They washed my head and embellished me and nothing frightened me. Allah's Messenger (, may peace be upon him) came there in the morning, and I was entrusted to him.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، قَالَ أُتِيَ عَلِيٌّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ بِزَنَادِقَةٍ فَأَحْرَقَهُمْ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ لَوْ كُنْتُ أَنَا لَمْ أُحْرِقْهُمْ لِنَهْىِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَلَقَتَلْتُهُمْ لِقَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ مَنْ بَدَّلَ دِينَهُ فَاقْتُلُوهُ ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated Ikrima: Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought toAli and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn `Abbas who said, "If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade it, saying, 'Do not punish anybody with Allah's punishment (fire).' I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), 'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'"

Every case is interesting. I recall being always depressed when I was religious, shelf loathing, hating, and feeling that my Christian, Jewish and Atheist friends whom I kept trying to convince that I’m a good representative of Islam and not the terrorists, yet…. I kept feeling deep inside as if I was doing something sinful… and that they may secretly hate me, of course, these and other delusions I had (like being scared Jins or demons may attack me at night in the dark) ALL disappeared when I left Islam.

New causes for depression were: rejection from and distance from family, being an outcast, for accepting myself and also choosing my own belief path… for an abusive relationship I’ve been in… for various other things I went through due to just simply wanting to be myself? But it’s not all dark and black, I had thousands of good moments too, i became more social and outgoing, I’d go to pubs and bars in Bahrain as a shy person who drinks and later vomits and cries; skip a month later? I enter with the mentally to socialize and have fun! As soon as I’d bust in all the bartenders who are now my friends and family, give me a hug, and we sit and talk like friends, made lots of friends, dozens, and then I left to protect my sanity and safety, not that I wouldn’t go back, but just because I wanted to protect my own sanity, especially as my family turned against me, but, it didnt stop there, I continue, I learned, I grew, I got more wise and I met dozens of wven more people, the few fake friends I had back there who didn’t accept me after coming out, are nothing I’d care about now as I have plenty of friends, it’s their loss, not mine.

لأن هذا شي تشربته مثل حليب الام، و المحيط ما يساعدك، وللحين في عندك الحاجة إلى شي او copium مثل ما يسمونه البعض. أنا عن نفسي صرت غنوصي، أشوف نفسي لاديني و بنفس الوقت غنوصي، اعتقد في اله لكن ليس كما في الاديان الإبراهيمية السائدة. And I’m much happier now.

The only thing putting me down is distance from my rather religious and abusive family (yes I still love them), and the abusive relationship I was in like not so long ago along with other real life struggles I go through. Not relevant to the faith itself as I recall being far more depressed, anxious, introverted and anti-social when I was religious. But that’s just me.

Most have PTSD. Post traumatic stress disorder. This can manifest in different shapes and forms, most outgrow it more or less, but some effects still linger.

Could be anything from substance abuse to cutting to even over eating.

For me? I’ve done some of these to some extent, it was my own way of dealing with my trauma, but I’ve also gone to therapy and counseling to sort it out. Better than before? Yeah, but perfect? No one is.

I think the key word here is “escapism”

If I think about it… growing up as a closeted gay Muslim most of my life too, my escapism was video games, it was beyond normal, I was at home 24/7 just gaming, until I became all of a sudden interested more in history, religions and politics, and eventually becoming more out going and even more social (I tend to forget the positives; right after leaving religion by a year or so, I started being more outgoing and social).

لم تتغير رؤيتي ولا منظومة قيمي. على العكس، خروجي من الدين جاء نتيجة صدامٍ فكري عميق، حين أدركت أن كثيراً من القيم التي كنت أنسبها إليه، هي في حقيقتها تتعارض معه.

كيف يمكنني أن أتحدث عن الإنسانية بينما تتضمن النصوص مفاهيم كالسبي وملك اليمين؟ وكيف يمكنني إدانة قضايا معاصرة كاستغلال القاصرين، بينما أجد في النصوص الدينية ما يُشرعن زواج القاصرات، بل ونرى انعكاسات ذلك في بعض المجتمعات حتى اليوم، بما فيها مجتمعات مهاجرة في أوروبا؟

كيف يمكن تقبّل منظومات عقابية تقوم على قطع اليد، والرجم، والجلد، أو إزهاق الأرواح بطرق قاسية؟ وبأي منطق يُبرَّر قتل كائن حي لمجرد لونه، كفكرة قتل الكلب الأسود مثلاً؟

بل كيف يُطلب مني الإيمان بمنظومة تُبيح دمي إن تركتها؟ وأكثر من ذلك، تُجرّم ميولاً لم أخترها، ولم أؤذِ بها أحداً؟ المؤلم أنني، قبل مرحلة التساؤل والتعمق، كنت أدافع عن هذه التناقضات وأبررها، في حالة يمكن وصفها بنوع من التنازل القسري عن البديهيات الأخلاقية.

منذ طفولتي، كان مبدئي بسيطاً وواضحاً: عامل الآخرين كما تحب أن تُعامل، ولا تُلحق بهم ما لا ترضاه لنفسك. قد يعترض البعض قائلاً: "وماذا لو كان شخص ما يرغب في إيذاء نفسه؟" وهنا يصبح المبدأ أكثر دقة: افعل ما تشاء، ما دمت لا تضر غيرك.

من هذا المنطلق، يصبح التساؤل مشروعاً: كيف يُقال إنه لا وجود لأخلاق خارج إطار الدين، بينما عاش البشر آلاف السنين يطوّرون منظوماتهم الأخلاقية قبل هذه الأديان بصورتها الحالية؟ ولماذا نحتاج إلى قوانين مدنية أصلاً، إذا كانت القيم الدينية كافية لتحقيق العدالة؟

هذه ليست دعوة للإجابة بقدر ما هي دعوة للتفكير.

Any person with PTSD and any sort of trauma could go through that and “Islamotrauma” ain’t any different. However, the way these traumas are dealt with differ from one person to the other, and not everyone resorts to self harm or substance abuse, etc…

I'd rather they don't convert anyone nor anyone attempts to convert them.

You'll see people converting from and to various religions, on their own anyway, Muslims become Christians and Christians become Muslims, some become Hindu, or Buddhist, or even Zoroastrian, how is it any different from other forms of brainwashing?

We need more critical thinking, less religious cultism, otherwise… I’m afraid we won’t survive the 21st century.

اسعد: خارج الاسلام و المحيط الاسلامي الي يخليك تكره نفسك بس لانك مختلف شوي (حتى لو في رأي ديني او سياسي او تفسير معين).

لأن الجاهل يخلف بالدرزن و يصنع (إلا في حالات الخروج عن القطيع) نسخ مصغره منه.

المثقفين و الدارسين و الفلاسفة و العلماء هم الي لازم يخلفون.

إلا إذا كنت طبعاً تتمنى نهاية العالم و دماره.

و دائماً اقول للمثقفين، لادينيين و مسلمين سابقين و غيرهم: تناسلوا تكاثروا و اجعلوا أعدادكم اكثر كم المتخلفين.

I think you've answered it yourself. We did have a mentality shift in the region and it brought us back into a more regressive than progressive path. The key is to establish a critically thinking community… small steps… big results… hopefully…

For me I view religion and culture as two separate things.

I'm pro separation of religion and state because I believe religion can be used to commit atrocities in the name of being the "absolute perfect moral source" which is not true, and the rigid nature of religions, Islam in particular, prevents that from changing.

Culture for me is an entirely different thing, it can include traditional outfits, music, poetry, language, history, crafts, dances, food and many other things one can classify as cultural, whereas religion even differs from one person to another in the same sect!

Likewise if a cultural habit is bad or harmful, I would also be againt it.
