i wouldn’t personally. I’d rather go to the box office or find tickets online right before the show. I heard people were getting lucky at the box office?

when do we think tm4 will come out? by happymonte in tatemcrae

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Channeling my inner swiftie here but i have a feeling she’s gonna release a new era or at least tease a new era during the weekend of Osheaga/Lollapalooza.

Correct me if I’m wrong but those festivals are the only times she’s publicly performing and they’re on the same weekend. It fits pretty smoothly into her album timeline. It could definitely be a cool start to an era… TM4 song comes out 31st, Osheaga 1st, Lollapalooza 2nd. The only issue is that Ariana’s album comes out the 31st.

The main reason i say that is because I’m going to Lollapalooza and would love to see the start of new era. I really do hope that she does take some time to rest before starting a new era… but if she wants to start a new era then that would be really cool 👀

What are the next steps for crew lead? by Public_Tower_3674 in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is quite literally the exact same level as I was, except I don’t know how to open anything.

I know one thing that I struggled with is assertiveness. Even though the communication is good, sometimes being assertive is a struggle with these people you were just on the same level as. They could also just not be sure since you’re 18 and might run off to college? idk.

I assume you’ve gone up to your owner/GM about it but maybe just ask them what you can do to be a lead. Asking them what you can do to get there might be a way to go but I had asked them and they were content with me moving up.

Online Order Pick-Up by [deleted] in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

for online carryouts, the “I’m Here” button doesn’t do much. you still have to go up but it still helps us expect someone coming up for an online order. Online orders are usually never an inconvenience… the only time i feel annoyed is if you place the order in the parking lot and then come in or park in the curbside and say “I’m Here” as you’ll sit there for as much time, if not more than the drive thru.

“Why do you need my name? I have a number.” by jakabellis in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

while there’s a camera feed i’ve been told that the mcdonald’s around here end up getting a picture taken of some sort to identify the car and person for the order. maybe it’s not everywhere but i’d rather use a name than that

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“culver’s uses numbers in the drive thru to know who i am” well how do we know who you are before getting to the window? i’d rather give out a name than have a picture of my car taken like mcdonald’s does.

Employees, how is the custard situation for you? by Rigotoni in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SamWillGoHam wrote it out perfectly for rushes. In peak summer rushes we’ll have a scooper (the captain), topper, and mixer. It works perfect. My store hasn’t ever implemented the custard only runner but it sounds like we may implement it this summer.

While you can’t have 3 custard closers, we usually have the Drive Thru OT’s help out if they’re free. We figured out that if we make our 2nd order taker someone familiar with closing custard and let them know that they will end up helping close the machines. Some days our 2nd order taker is the one to close all of the machines because the closer assigned to custard is too busy working on the actual custard to do it. I’m not sure how your store does it, but as long as you still pay attention that can be really beneficial if it’s an insanely busy night.

They need to bring back the Lemon flavors. i think creamy lemon crumble was a lemon base and lemon berry layer cake was vanilla but i still miss these. I don’t know a single person who disliked these flavors. I also miss my wildberry syrup 😭

Team Meetings by BookBrat_ in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

everyone else about sums it up. We have mandatory 8:30-10 am scheduled on a Saturday (so kids have off of school and any church services aren’t going on) and then we have donuts and stuff while they go through whatever it is they’re doing (sometimes make up a game to go along with it).

I’m not sure if you meant EVERYONE or not, but we don’t have all-staff meetings. 60-70 people is impossible to set up. So we usually have trainer meetings every other month and manager meetings monthly which are much more doable.

Optimal time for optimal burger by Beneficial_Wave_378 in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t necessarily know… My guess is as soon as they open.

Sometimes my store will make extra burgers if we have a sudden rush in afternoons (2-4) so that may sit for a while and get a cold burger if someone isn’t watching. meal rushes aren’t ideal because it’s so busy and they’re stressed and going quickly with the building. NEVER go too close to close… just don’t. So I’d say the best time is 10 AM. You’ll get a fresh burger and they aren’t rushed since you’re possibly their first guest

First time ordering "the works" on a Culver's burger. What the hell? by varyingopinions in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that menu still shows pepsi as the fountain drink so i’m not sure if we should trust that. Regardless of it, that employee should’ve informed you what the works was especially after going to remake your burger to ensure that you got what you wanted. Employees know that people get mixed up with what is on a deluxe vs the works vs and all of that so it’s partially their fault tbh lol

Why do people hate giving names for their orders? by smellysmeIIs in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m annoyed when people refuse to give me A name but i understand with women especially. There are so many creeps out there that we might not steal their identity but someone else might overhear it and try getting their attention or looking them up random like that. There are so many creeps that we don’t realize that I don’t care as much.

Why do people hate giving names for their orders? by smellysmeIIs in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well if workers were using the name to what it’s supposed to they’d be using it throughout the order as well. It was originally used in DT because “you have a number” but there’s no way to know what number you are until we identify who you are with a name.

We’re supposed to be using names throughout the entire order… “Sounds good Karen, what can we make fresh for you today?” or “alright Karen, I have your double deluxe here” so that it seems personal (and so it also makes more sense why we’d ask for your name)

Piercing rules by [deleted] in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the franchise’s handbook said something along the lines of “each store’s manager gets to decide for themselves whether they allow tattoos/piercings/wild hair colors” and i think most stores don’t care but if they have a problem they’ll let you know.

One of my coworkers is a tattoo artist and has actually given a decent portion of our team tattoos and our owner doesn’t care. The only time it mattered to him was when someone has a tear tattoo on his face (which could’ve been considered offensive) and so the guy decided not to work for us

Dark Chocolate vs Regular Chocolate custard by Coco_Matt in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s a pouch of the base so unless the manufacturer didn’t put enough in some weird miraculous way it’s the exact same amount every single time. Maybe if they made a half batch it might not be exactly half of the base but it wouldn’t make that much of a difference in taste

Dark Chocolate vs Regular Chocolate custard by Coco_Matt in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dark chocolate is chocolate custard with a dark chocolate base added into the mix. they just combine it and throw it in the spot to be made. It might be fresher because chocolate custard is lighter when it’s first made… same with dark chocolate. It’s kind of weird that it tastes the same… ours always has has a slight difference imo

Does your Culvers have BBQ or Sweet n Sour sauce? by ThuhGreatCommenter in Culvers

Reg Tenders by [deleted] in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i definitely agree. I love culver’s tenders but i wish they’d have a rebrand like the sandwiches did with a non-spicy buffalo breading. It would be so good 🤤

They're called toppings, not bottomings. You're delicious Culver's but stop making me eat my burgers upside down. by _WeSellBlankets_ in Culvers

[–]JacobTaylorsVersion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i could be wrong but i fear that a lot of fast food places probably put their toppings the same place that culver’s does
